I appreciate your great wisdom and inspiring me to no end, Ilana! I’m losing my last 10-15 lbs, but it seems like I’ve been yo-yo dieting for years. When I started BB this past spring, I hit a plateau for a few weeks where I was eating 1200 calories (plus more if I worked out), but wasn’t losing anything. Then I reduced my calories to 1000 (plus more if I worked out) and started losing weight using your principles. I understand this me be too few calories. A few years ago, I tried increasing my calories to 1600 for a week (with lots of lean protein), I ended up gaining weight. Should I just assume my metabolism has slowed down? Any suggestions? Would weights help? Also can I switch my lunch and dinner meals on 2B mindset to have a bigger meal (with the fiber filled carbs) in the evening? I was brought up having a bigger meal in the evening.

Miranda- i have noticed the same thing. So many in authority say to never eat less than 1200 calories and shame us for being so anal however i cannot maintain or lose weight if i go above 1,200 cal per day with exercise. I am 5’4” and 123 lbs. and 58 years old.
