I’ve noticed that I make healthier decisions in the morning, but all resolve is lost by about 2pm. Rather than really try to work on self-discipline, my planning is starting to sound like, “if I eat all my fruits and veggies for breakfast and lunch, then it’s not such a baaaaaad thing to only eat junk food at dinner because…balance?” 😅

Sounds like a plan! I do know for myself that I crash around 2-3 pm if my lunch has too many simple carbs. Just something to consider.

Have you tried decreasing sugar and simple carbs? I found when I did that I no longer have a slump in motivation or energy during the day. I used to religiously eat Chobani fruit yogurt every morning until I saw how much sugar it contained. When I switched to a hard-boiled egg I discovered I wasn’t hungry until 5 hours later and then it wasn’t the manic “FEED ME” scream, just dull hunger pangs that we’re satisfied with a large salad with olive oil and apple cider vinegar for dressing. Yum!
