How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Hello! My name is Lexi, I’m 27 years old. I have used Diet Bet in the past and was able to lose 45lbs! I had a lot of success in the past with eating low carb and doing HIIT training. Unfortunately, I’ve gained some of the weight back because it’s been really difficult to exercise in the past year. I get extremely lightheaded and have fainted twice. I finally saw someone about it and found out I have POTS… Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Fortunately it’s something that can be managed by increasing my water and salt intake, wearing compression, and exercising regularly. The tricky part is, I have to work up to doing the exercises I used to be able to do by starting with things like a recumbent bike, rowing machine, or seated weight exercises.

Does anyone know of any other good exercises for POTS? Any recommendations for programs or plans that target arms and abs for toning? I figure I will need to balance out spending a lot of time on the bike with some good arm and ab toning exercises.

I’ve also heard that low carb diets help with POTS and I know that I felt like I had more energy when I ate more low carb in the past… even though I love carbs deeply :’) I’m always accepting recommendations for easy and quick low carb recipes.

So… time to get my butt in gear and focus on my health, not just because “It’d be nice to” or “I should probably” but because “I need to” and “I want to feel better”… excited to go on this journey with y’all!

TLDR; Hello! POTS diagnosis, looking for recommendations for seated exercises and low carb meals :)

Here is a picture with me and my new best friend…

I LITERALLY HAVE THE SAME EXACT BOTTLE! We must now be friends, sorry for shouting at you

I don't have POTS (as far as I know), but I do sometimes get lightheaded and dizzy during HIIT workouts that have quick changes between standing and doing stuff on the floor. The quick up and down messes with my blood pressure; I imagine that could be problematic with your condition, too. So I would recommend avoiding workouts like that, or at least making accommodations for yourself like taking longer breaks in between exercises. Sorry I don't really have more specific recommendations, but hope that helps!
