How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I’m here because I want to be healthier for my daughter. I gave birth last year in July and have steadily gained weight rather than lose. My appetite has been through the roof and it’s hard to find time to cook enough healthy options with the little one around.

My focus this week is only eating items that I’d be willing to and excited to feed to my daughter. Clean food is my focus!

I’m worried because I’m traveling to visit my parents on Wednesday and they both don’t eat very well. They love eating out. My challenge will be making healthy choices when surrounded by all of that temptation. Happy to receive advice!!!

Hi Jennifer here are a few things that work for me in those situations:
1. Bring/buy your own food if you can and if you can’t…
2. Eat small portions
3. Document every bite. Using My Fitness Pal or Fitbit (both free) really helps you stay accountable to yourself and keeps you informed/honest about what you need to do to be in a calorie deficit
4. Plan your meals… deciding what you’re going to eat before hand helps to eliminate the urge to give into random cravings… it helps to combine this one with #3.

Use them all or just one:relaxed:Good luck!

It’s all about a sustainable balance and not making impossible goals. If you can’t eat a certain diet indefinitely don’t start it! Start with realistic switches - water rather than juice/soda, try to get in more protein, fruits and veggies. Make a realistic caloric deficit goal. And most importantly - don’t beat yourself up if you indulge. Get back to it the next day and give yourself grace. One unhealthy day/meal doesn’t ruin your progress unless you let it.
