How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • I am having a rough week, emotionally. I've been debating about a major life-changing decision for *months*; And the minute I finally decide and go ahead and make the change, I start getting all this feedback about how it was not necessary. Too late now. And I am sad. I want to drown myself in chocolate.

I am on a two-day family trip to the beach (which *should* be awesome!) and I don't have regular daily work/tasks to distract me from my sadness. I can't start work on any of my projects or clean or organize my stress away. But I don't have chocolate either, so I guess that's good.

I don't know how to pull myself out of this sadness spiral. I already went for a long walk in the morning and picked-up beach trash, but that was before I received the email that started me spiralling.

    Picture from my walk.

I love the ocean. Like the Massive Attack song "Be Thankful..." you got to walk on a beach today and do good. Good luck with whatever the email was about.

I love what Abbie said. It reminds me of the metaphor for life of a handmade Persian rug in which mistakes in the weaving are incorporated into the design and become woven into an ultimately beautiful, rich and textured pattern. I hope you will find your joy again soon, but in the meantime just keep breathing and being gentle with yourself. Sending hugs your way.
