How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

April threw a lot at my personal life; more downs than ups. My work life is miserable and my workplace is toxic. I’ve developed an exit plan, but it will be a month or two before I can execute the plan. I moved to the desert SW for work 2 years ago, and my skin and allergies did not adjust well. Between the dust storms and the lack of humidity, going outside is nearly unbearable at times for me. I like to trail run in stead of going to the gym, but with the pollen and dust, I have to go to the gym, so that’s an adjustment. I barely made this round’s goal. The others months I had met my goal by a few pounds; this time is was by ounces. Where I went wrong is I stopped journaling my calorie intake, stopped weighing myself daily, and I was inactive on our challenge message boards. So, since I know where I went off the rails, I will correct and make the month of May my personal best. Seems like there’s a reason to give up every other day, but every single day is the opportunity to change for the better!
