How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • I've been wondering at what point will someone other than my mom notice how much weight I've lost, and was set on probably never. The only reason I don't count my circle is because they know about my plan and progress before seeing me in person. Oh and I don't count my doctor who weighs me. (And is thrilled by my progress, a story for another day.)

I work in an office of 250-300 people of those people only about 50 of them have comeback to the office and of those only like 10 of them are people that I saw everyday. I don't know how much I weighed last time I saw them (before the pandemic shut us down), but I assume it is 40 lbs difference and counting. Maybe they see it and don't want/care to say it to avoid some awkwardness of them remembering it wrong or offending me in some way. Like "Hey weren't you fatter before?" Well Today it happened and it went something like this...

"Hey a package came in for you yesterday"
    "OK thanks"
"No problem, so what are you doing to loose weight?"
"whole food plant based diet and walking"
"Great, your doing a great job"

NON SCALE VICTORY! wow that felt good. Weight loss has never been about looks for me, it's always been about adding years to my life and life to my years. But there is something about someone outside my circle noticing my results that is very rewarding.

I think a lot of people rightfully consider it rude to comment on other people's bodies, so I'd say it reflects well on your coworkers for them to not say anything. If you mention that it's on purpose and you're happy about it, people are more likely to comment, because then they'd know it's welcome.
