How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • This is the first weigh in that I have done in months. Mostly because even though I am a paying member, I could not input a weigh in if any kind unless I was involved in a game.

I have had many health challenges since October. All directly/indirectly related to my cancer. As a result this is where I am today trying very hard to maintain my weight and put some back on, which is extremely difficult as my body doesn’t require the 2500 to 3000 calories a day that they want me consuming. I struggle very much to come close to 2000 calories as I am not getting as much movement in a needed to support that with the anemia as low as it is. My hemoglobin has started to improve some and we are getting some answers. I may very likely need to get an iron infusion to get it back up there due to my body just not absorbing the 2 tablets a day that I am taking.

It is worth noting that I was 206 when the cancer was discovered. One of my cancer spots pinches off the main bile duct coming out of the liver right at the “Y” where the right lobe and left lobe ducts come together. This has now 3 times completely closed off nand I now have drain lines inserted through my skin that make the drain path from the bile ducts to my small intestine. Each time one of these blockages has occurred it has resulted in worsened anemia and weight loss due to lack of movement because of the anemia being so bad.

Cancer really does suck! But my God is way bigger and with his help I will get through this and live long enough to see my Great Grandchildren. Which is a very lofty goal given my sons don’t even have girlfriends and only God knows when we will meet our first Grandchild.c

You’ll be a great Grandpa with lots of experience in ‘don’t sweat the small stuff’ department.
If you wanted you could make a video or write a journal or a letter to the future generation. My grandkids love to hear stories about when their dads were little. You could read it to them.
Unfortunately some have escaped my memory!
Hugs and best wishes

  • Glad to see you back here. I saw you in some other games. For future reference, you can weigh-in as a member without playing a game. From the app, tap account, then membership. This screen will pop up and if you have not weigh-in for the week, there will be a link to weigh-in. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Praying for your continued journey and fight to better health. The journal feature is good to use to share your journey through this trial. It is something you can look back at and something to share with your docs since mind can surely get fogging with anemia.
