How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Frederic, did you get an answer to that? I just went to do the August one and saw that too. I'm not paying that unnecessary fee.

According to their FAQ[1], they waive the fee for early adopters. I have been on the site since April, and have had my fees waived on all recent games. The fee covers a "personalized" guide, but having received the guide + offers, I can't say it's worth the five bucks unless you're totally new to weight loss. I also think that if you pay the fee once, you shouldn't have to keep paying as long as you keep joining new Bets - if you leave for a few months or something, that'd be more reasonable. On mine it waived the fee...Frederick, waiving the fee means they will not charge that fee. In other words, they will allow me to play other games without paying that $4.95 fee.
