How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

  • Workouts have been going great. The weight is not where it needs to be but next month is a chance to figure that out. My son and I were charged with watching 8 kids tonight at McDonald's. Here we are with a few of them. I was the only one in the place NOT eating that stuff. That counts for 1.75 Attaboys.

Now for the biggest challenge: Find a way to make parents AVOID THAT PLACE altogether! It would make your life way easier and give the kids a brighter future...

Any way to convince them that you would prefer to babysit elsewhere?

So I dropped off the face of the DB planet this past week! Last weekend involved my 2nd 5K ever - I shaved about 9min off my time from the first one I ran back in Sept and came in 25th place out of 106! Buuuuut it also involved some wedding cake tasting! I managed to reverse a few lbs gain and weighed out today at lunch. ::whew:: On to FW16!!

In all fairness, this was a WAY less hilly course! However, at the time of the first race last Sept I was still stopping to walk during my runs, now I can run without stopping! I'm going to try and do that first race again this year and compare those results to last year's. That will be the true test! ;)


No excuses - just praise! You deserve it - you have been so dedicated and focused and are doing GREAT!!! Feel proud of your strong healthy self!

Slow and steady: My foot seems to tolerate careful cardio better, if I rest it for a while after work. Then I can do a new mix of slow biking and 'jogging' while bouncing on a Swiss ball (almost an hour total today, plus some breaks). The scar looks better every day and the swelling is usually almost gone by the next morning, so I would say recovery is in progress! Nice! :-)

Sounds like you read the article my mother read or saw on the news before I ran my 10K - I don't discuss my running with her much as I always get the "you'll damage your knees" and yes, the night before my 10K she says "you know people who run die sooner". Oye!


For July - with my running - I had been doing more a mix of run a mile or 2 and then walk for about .2 at the most - seemed to really work for the weight loss.
