For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

First part in a series of de-motivational posts by yours truly.

Sunday workout consisted of a 750 yard swim, in 44 degree (F) weather. The weather increases caloric burn, of course, akin to swimming in the depths of hell. Anytime you'd stop and rest, you'd freeze and die alittle on the outside, while your dignity slowly whittles away as the cute lifeguard glares at you for slowing down the lane.

Monday workout consisted of 1.3 mile run, 5.5-6.0 speed (pick your least favorite number) on a 5.0 incline. 6 sets of 150 x 5 bench press. 5 sets of 140 x 5 barbell rows. 6 sets of 220 x 5 squats. Top that off with a 3 mile bike ride to finish. Oh and earlier I had a 2 mile walk and traversed 5 flights of stairs, 4 times today.

I leave you with a quote from a famous demotivational philosopher. "Trying is the first step to failure" - H.J. Simpson.

Good effort Ricky! Must be so demotivational for you to be working so hard and know you're still going to lose. :p
