How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

IMPORTANT PSA: Before the winnings get announced, you should totally read this. If you haven't played a Kickstarter game before, please do NOT get your panties in a bunch when you find out you didn't win a boatload of money on top of your bet. I've played five or six games and the payouts have been between $9-$20 on top of my initial bet. There was so much fun and positivity in the last game I was part of and then an uproar when people found out they "only" won $9 on top of their bet. You know what that means? That means a lot of people won and that means other people are succeeding along with you. This isn't meant to be a source of income. This isn't the lottery. We're all here to encourage each other and to work our way to our goals together, not be grumpy over the amount we won. There were comments like "Totally wasn't worth it, never doing this again", "$9? lame", and "Regret signing up for another one". Like, really? You lost 4% or more of your total body weight and won extra money on top of what you paid in and if you check the activity board at all, you probably learned a thing or two about health and fitness that you didn't already know so how is that a loss? Congrats to everyone, whether you hit your goal this time around or not. Keep on truckin'! I'm proud of us :)

I totally agree! Sure, more money is nice BUT to want more money is to want people to fail. Not okay! Breaking even would have been awesome. That would mean that I and everyone else were able to reach their goal! That's a win, win!
