How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I was feeling really worried about the overall response to the game after seeing several people feeling defeated which made me concerned about hosting another game, however...the last couple of days I've seen some REALLY positive posts, even from those who didn't quite make their goal so now I am reconsidering.

I don't think these kinds of challenges are for everyone, and the last thing I want to do is be a factor in the diet/fail/repeat cycle, but we are all motivated by different things and if this works for some then I am happy to support that as long as no one ever feels like a failure, even when they don't reach their goal.

Losing weight is not a process or a journey, it's a reflection of the lifestyle we live every day. It's great to win a bet and lose some weight, but that loss needs to be sustainable in order to live a happy, healthy life.

So...if you're in, I'm in and will gladly host another bet as long as everyone plays responsibly-- honoring themselves and their bodies.

Deal?

I would look forward to another challenge. It really made me accountable to "myself". It has helped open my eyes to my eating habits. I hope everyone realizes this is a game. It's not to make people feel badly. The challenge may have been lost by some, however, did they learn something about themselves along the way.

Next game starts Monday the 8th! Let your body rest for the next couple of weeks. Help it find it's new normal and stabilize a bit so it will be ready to let go of another 4% of stored fat! See you there!
