I'm taking a well-deserved high carb day today and tonight.
This is ONLY my 2nd time doing this in SIX months. And I've lost 40 pounds so far!

Today is the day to eat all those foods I have been restraining from eating: homemade calzones, cookies, ice cream, pretzels, tortilla chips, french fries, homemade challah, egg rolls, breaded chicken schnitzels, white rice, and chocolate/honey cake. Yeah, I'll probably have quite a stomach ache, and yeah, it will probably be really hard not to continue a 2nd day high carb on Saturday, but it's 1 day only, and the stomachache will go away.

This way, I can go strong for the next couple of months or so. Anything yummy that my wife makes, like the cookies and cake, a nice portion gets set aside for me and put directly into the freezer for my next high carb day. It makes restraining and eating healthy SO much easier, knowing that I am not totally eliminating all of these yummy, unhealthy foods from my diet. And since I'm only indulging 2% of the time, 4 to 7 times a year, I am not going to suffer any ill effects from it (except for the stomachache, since it's such a shock to the system).

I got up early and exercise-walked hard for 5 sets of 4 minutes slow/6 minutes fast and a 4 minute cool down. And I will exercise-walk on Sunday too...hopefully...and probably just have coffee, lots of water, and vegetable soup on Sunday to recover. For me, it's worth it. It's not really a reward, it's more of an escape valve.
All positive comments and thoughts are welcome...even constructive criticism.

Don't you think that would be easier for you if you enjoy this food in moderation like once a week or two? I just can't imagine how it is making you happy at all. I don't want to be rude or anything like that but one day you are loading in those bad carbs, knowing that you will have a stomachache and you are planning to starve yourself day or two later. IF it works for you fine, but I personally have a cheat meal more often and it is easier for me not to binge eating
