How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

This was my last KickStarter. I have been doing them for a while, and have often been disappointed in the payouts after DietBet's cut. But this one went too far. To risk $150 -- and almost be unable to get a video submitted in time -- for no return at all makes no sense. Based on the success information that was published the day after the game was over, I expected a pay-out of $15 after DietBet took its cut (which I believed to be 25%). For DietBet to have confiscated the entire pool of funds of unsuccessful participants seems fishy to me. Good luck to everyone in keeping their weight loss going.
