Drink tons of water. Weigh yourself frequently for accountability. I agree with Sarah that checking in to the DB app daily helps a lot. Good luck!

Thanks for all the great tips guys! I’m so stinking excited!

I’m pretty excited for this DietBet. I did this one at the same time as my husband did another over a year ago And we both won! Then I found out I was pregnant and completely reversed my progress plus added on lots more weight. After having the baby I gained even more. I got to the point where I’m so worried for my health that I need to do this again and win. I tried 2 other diet bets by myself postpartum and failed miserably. I think it’s because I did them
Without my husband. This time he’s decided to hop on board and join the same one as me. I’m super pumped! I’m hoping to do well and want to do more after this one.

That is so great that your hubby will go along on the ride! Tell him thank you from all of us women whose hubbies won't do it with them! :D

What Tami said! :)

I really don’t want to work out today. Really, really don’t want to. I’m a teacher and it’s spring break. Today is the only day that I have with my children out of the house. It’s also the first day of period. There is almost nothing I want more than to lounge in my couch with candy, chips, and maybe some ice cream and just binge.

Almost nothing. Except...I do want to be in the Healthy BMI category for the first time in nearly 20 years. And I want to have energy to run around and play with my kids. And I want to be confident in my own skin. And I really want to win that freaking Step Bet that I signed up for (I just need one more power day and two active days to win the 6 week long bet).

So, I will get up and get on that damn elliptical and get enough steps for a power day. Then, I will shower, get into comfy clothing, eat some junk food (portioned out), and enjoy the rest of my day on the couch. Because it’s all about balance after all.

  • You can do it. I’m a teacher too, so I know how exhausted you’re feeling. Don’t go to the gym, go for a walk somewhere pretty. The sunlight (Vitamin D) will give you a real mood boost. This is where I walked a couple of days ago to start my Term break, and I started to feel so much more energised afterwards. This is a lovely autumn day in New Zealand.

Darin R.

If you have the day with your kids, just do some physical activities outside! It'll be fun for all! :)

I have struggled with this big time. This most recent gap has gone well. The scale is up only about 2 pounds vs the 5-6 it's been. I finally told myself that it's ok to let loose *a little* but completely losing my head and gorging on garbage isn't helping me reach my goals. It's all a head game for me. Sometimes I'm mature and grown up and sometimes I'm a 6 year old

This doesn’t apply this round, but my current DietBet ends on the same day that this one starts. I did that specifically so I wouldn’t fall back into my old habits. You can also overlap by doing more than one. Good luck!

Well this is my first DB. I’ve always thought it was a scam, but here I am. I’ve got quite a bit to loose, and hoping this will keep me accountable and motivated.

  • So I am back again! This is my 4th DietBet. The support one gets from the tribe keeps me motivated and focused over time. It has been impossible for me to loose weight before and keep it off - but this really works for me.

When I started I weighed 83 kg. When I finish this bet I will hopefully have reached my goalweigh; the same as I used to weigh before my kids were born in 2000 and 2003, which is 15 kg less.

Good luck! We can do this?

This is my 10th DB and I’ve lost 1/2 of them. But it really helps keep me motivated and I am still losing weight, just slowly.
Went from Aug 2017-204lbs to 173 Aug 2018. But when I wasn’t using it from August 2018-Dec 2018. Gained up to 190 😓.
Started Again in Jan and won. took Feb off and gained back to 190 😓
Hoping to get to 170 or less by Aug 2019. Here’s to crushing this next game!

Well I have never tried this before, slimming world and weight watchers groups have worked for me in the past but with two young kids getting out to group is hard and although my diet is very healthy, my glass of wine or gin when the kids go to bed is definitey adding the pounds in.
I’ve followed Lexi on Instagram for a while now and think she really is amazing, I turn 40 at the end of May and would love to be 1 1/2 stone lighter by then!
I’m in the UK, just wondered where you’re all from and is this your first time? Xx
