Really need this for the accountability to get back on track! Over the last 2 and a half weeks I caught covid then went out of town. I was at the mercy of what my husband could fix and bring to me in my room, since I was trying to keep the family from getting sick before our trip! I managed to maintain through all of that, which I count as a huge win, but ready to get back to losing!

I had Covid for 2 weeks beginning on Memorial Day, then went on vacation too. Glad things worked out for you. Covid is rough!

  • We have been on vacation for a week, but luckily it is an active vacation. We have done a lot of hiking and walking. I have been able to complete my daily challenges without too much trouble. Good luck to everyone for finishing up strong!

  • I packed some fruits and veggies to snack on for our road trip today. Unfortunately, I accidentally sat on the bag of pears. I am still eating them, but they are a bit smooshy.

  • It seems like since we were young it's been ingrained into us that food is a reward. "If you eat your vegetables you can have dessert." "If we fill the jar full of marbles we get a pizza party." "If you sit quietly you'll get a lollipop." I have totally used treat bribery tactics with my kids. I want to encourage you to try to think of things that you can reward yourself for a job well done, other than treats.

    Like:
    Give yourself permission to take a nap
    Treat yourself to a massage
    Get fitted for workout shoes at a running store
    Plan a weekend getaway with your significant other.....

    What have you done to treat yourself for accomplishing your health and fitness goals?

  • This salad tastes amazing! I tried to make healthy food choices when I had Covid, but not being able to go to the store meant I was left with whatever fresh produce I had on hand. I was so happy to go back to the store for the first time today. I filled the cart with fruits and veggies!
