Non-scale victory of the week!

Noticing that my next size down clothes are getting kinda loose.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Sticking to the possibility I had a chance of winning instead of self-sabotage?I’m not sure I can call it that completely though. I ran into a situation where I had planned on eating a pre determined healthy meal instead of pizza and ice cream at a party but I ran out of time to eat before. I honestly couldn’t have gone all day without eating so eating the unhealthy food made sense. But I was slightly below goal with a minuscule margin of error. The next day I had water weight gain and that’s where I decided to eat badly again because partaking in food that was a treat was fun and it’s been months. It was hard to get back on track after day off my dietary goals.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I worked hard to resist temptation with yummy Christmas foods and started off doing well, but then I had a situation where everyone was eating chips and cheese dip and guacamole for lunch. No healthy options. I was so hungry so I partook but felt awful physically later. I slipped up a bit with half a cookie and a couple sips of alcohol and other things I haven’t been allowing in my diet. It made it harder to get back to a healthy diet the next day and it took 2 days before my diet was as good as it’s been. I was still within calorie targets, but nutritionally I was doing poorly. Also- I hit pre- baby weight this week! Right before my baby’s 9th Birthday!

Non-scale victory of the week!

I made it through thanksgiving with sensible portions and better choices than I would have normally. I still indulged a little and I did have water weight fluctuations but as of today they are gone!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Seeing how long water weight can stick around, I think I’d rather just stick to good choices! Bloating isn’t fun.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I went camping with my extended family and resisted all alcohol and yummy snacks and treats. It was harder than I expected but I stayed strong and ate my boring salad!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Find more salad recipes- my go to has become boring!

Try not to weigh in as often. I’ve been doing so daily but once a week would be better at this point. I felt discouraged about an unexplained two pound gain that ended up being water weight. I still lost a pound over the entire week.

I’ve been experimenting with more/new veggies in my salad and changing up my menu. It takes a lot longer to menu plan while figuring up nutrition info and macros but it’s worth the work.

Resisting temptation is harder but I’ve stood firm. No exceptions (at least at this stage of weight loss!)

I did add variety. Two new meals. Next week I need to add more.
