  • Second to mindset, I think diet is the part of our weight loss plan that makes the biggest difference. There are a lot of popular plans out there and a lot of eating strategies.

    What works for you? What has come the closest to being your favorite eating strategy for weight loss? For me, my greatest success has come from tracking my calories and upping my intake of fruit and vegetables. What's your current food plan?

Yup, same. Tracking calories, upping vegetables and keeping my food ratios right for me (low carb, high protein). Plus no alcohol for now.

No alcohol at all. No diet sodas at all. Keeping macros in line. No sugar, white flour, etc. Calorie intake per MFP should be 1320, and it usually falls right around there +/- without my actually counting calories just based on doing the above. Or NOT doing the above I should say. :joy:

I have to do things that I ENJOY doing and also look forward to doing! My latest craze is my HIIT workouts. I do them 4 days per week (in a group setting at a local gym) and then do spin 2 days and Pilates on my “active recovery” day.

Eat in a caloric deficit, drink your water and stick to it.... and I'm always here to support you!

Every day counts and builds on the next! If you fall off of your plan, keep it to that day or that 1 off meal or 1 missed workout then move on and restart the very next opportunity (the very next meal, next hour or next day!) Just because you messed up once isn’t reason to throw in the towel. Weeks of being off plan is much harder to come back from than one day. Keep a journal - don’t skip writing in the not so good choices- write them in and then move on. Accountability and having the ability to look back and see why you did or did not get the results you wanted is key!
