  • Really gonna do my best to give it my all for this dietbet. My goal is to lose 10 pounds. I was up this morning at 3:30am for my workout, and then I had oatmeal and eggs with sausage and cheese for breakfast. Lunch was a sandwich with baby carrots, bell peppers and hummus. And can’t forget all the water!

Who else struggles with finding a balance with food? I can over-eat and gain a lot of weight. Or I can under-eat and steadily drop a pound a day for like a month before it makes me sick. But I really struggle with that healthy balance between the extremes.

I love MFP! I use that along with fitbit since they will sync and I find entering foods, especially recipes since I cook at home almost exclusively, super easy on MFP. I have a hard time with my protein and fiber, but I've swapped a fiber one brownie for my evening treat and usually have a protein shake and some fruit for breakfast which seems to be helping. I go over may fat all the time though... I am not concerned because it's usually good fat and I'm still losing weight plus I'm new at this and still learning to find that balance. I'm hoping to get that in check once I am more used to sticking to a calorie budget and tracking those macros

I’m just about 15%, but I started the game late. Still plenty of time to reach my goals if I stick with it! This week I am proud that the Halloween candy hasn’t been very tempting. I got in the right mindset that I don’t even want what I had set aside for myself. (2 bite-size pieces of the candies I like.)

What has been your toughest change?

For me it's ranch dressing. I miss dumping it on everything. When I was on low carb I literally dumped it on everything(chicken, eggs, steak, hamburger,etc)! It was amazing!! Now that I'm trying to eat heart healthy, and trying to cut out any extra saturated fat, I miss ranch dressing.

The one Donna D posted is my go to! LOVE that bolthouse dressing (any flavor!) For a low calorie salad dressing or dip- the ranch is only 45 calories for 2 Tbsp!!


Missy & Sandy - TBH, I haven't tried them yet. :grimacing: My candy rule: Only open if I can find someone to share it with. So far, I have no takers. : / But I will be sure to fill you both in once I do! :D
