  • Despite a month of tracking food and exercise, I'm up 2lbs. I should have lost 5 by now (based on my calorie in-out calculation). So hopefully its hormones and a weekend of free eating that are to blame. I'm ready to kick butt and win this game.

I was below my goal last week but I've been up a pound for several days. It's being stubborn. Based on my calorie calculation I should be 2-3 lbs below by now. Any tricks to get off the (I assume) water weight by weigh out? Trying to eat only whole foods today and drink my water

I finally started to lose weight by walking/jogging intermittently. I tried sit-ups and core exercises but those did nothing so get out and walk and then walk some more. Good luck!

Try to stay away from as much sodium as you can as well for the next couple days! It will make you retain all that water you’re drinking!

I'm frustrated. Sitting at 80% of my goal when I was over 100% last week! I've been tracking all calories and sitting at about 1000 calorie deficit per day, but I did 2 hard workouts and I've been sore. Can that cause my weight to stall like that? I'm gonna stick to cardio until the bet is over!

Im eating around 1800 calories a day and burning between 2700 and 2900 on average with no extra exercise. I usually do eat more on exercise days to close the gap

I'm gonna have a relaxing night tonight and see if that helps. Just going to stretch instead of workout and go to bed early

I've been stuck at 236 for a few days but I am hoping the scale rewards me by the weekend. I was 234 last week but a few hard workouts and a day of high sodium foods got the best of me. I'm hoping I can stick it out and keep on track long enough to see results again. I dont think I can handle another long plateau!

Drink more water, it will help


In my opinion a plateau is still progress! As long as you are taking care of yourself via nutrition and exercise you are making progress.! Always move forward and don’t get hung up on where you were or where you are. It’s all about where you’re going!!

Does anyone else get into a mood where all food is unappealing? I'm struggling with what to have for lunch or dinner because I cant think of anything that sounds good. It's so weird to go from boredom eating anything in sight to not being interested in food

When I get this way I either do a little fast since nothing sounds good anyways or I just make a meal for pure nutrients....only for my health.


Yes, it's the same for me this week. I have been telling myself to get something healthy in for fuel so I can keep progressing.

I have a question? When you're plus size, it seems like it takes a long time to drop clothing sizes (like 20lbs or so) but my sister said when you're in normal sizes, every 10lbs or so is a Jean size. Is this right? Is fat loss a lot more noticeable as you get thinner?

Depends on your height, too. I'm short so 5-10 pounds is noticeable.

But it's about percentage. Losing 10 pounds when starting weight is 250 is only a 4% drop. Losing 10 pounds when starting weight is 140 is a 7% drop.

  • I've been walking for the past week's exercise and I really enjoy it. Get to spend time with my boyfriend and walk the dogs and enjoy the 2 hours of the day when the outdoors are bearable Haha
