You will start seeing it fluctuate. Write your food down and focus on your water goal. Once you start seeing a trend, i.e. it is going up 2 days or 3 days in a row, change something. If it is going down, then keep doing what you are doing. It happens fast. If this is a big change from how you are eating then the scale will move quickly but if it isn't, you will have to be diligent in tracking and in analyzing to start to figure out what is working and what is not.

  • Huge bowl of oatmeal!!! I like savory food and oatmeal is good for you so I am experimenting with ideas... That being said, my new way to have it....
    2/3 cup oatmeal
    1 cup chicken broth
    4oz homemade sausage
    1/4 cup egg whites
    1 cup water
    1 cup cauliflower rice

    Absolutely delicious and so much!!! This keeps me full for hours!!!

THAT WAS AWESOME!! My first live Zoom!! Learning that melting mode is an every single day thing will make a huge difference in my success. I was only trying to have occasional weight loss weekends and I was closer to maintenance mode than to melting mode for a long time! THIS is why my weight loss has been so slow! You’ve mentioned in your bite size bites about getting two handles on the wheel and drinking that iced coffee/water. I love coffee and when I picture ice coffee I think of a Starbucks equivalent.
What type of iced coffee would you suggest?

I like how water most is changing my mindset every day. But it has been REALLY cold here the last couple of days which has made this a bit more challenging. I find myself reaching for hot tea instead of water to warm myself up. Any tips on how to move past that?

I always say, More Water = More Weight Loss. But the easiest way to start is with the first 20 minutes of your day. When you force yourself to finish 20 ounces of water right when you wake up, you will see it bring you more energy and less hunger throughout the morning.

This is key for fending off those mid morning cravings.

For an extra boost of weight loss and food control, drink 20 ounces of water first before eating your lunch, dinner and certainly before a snack.

If you’re working out, don’t leave the mat or workout space before drinking 20 ounces of water first as well!

Remember, more water more weight loss. The easiest and most effective place to start, is first thing in the morning. Embrace it and let me know how it goes!!!
