I have been preparing the yard and gardens for spring. I’m getting some good workouts in. The scale is not moving but my clothes fit better so I do have a non-scale victory. I am also going on walks listening to my books. It is some nice me time. Hope everyone is doing well.

    How’s everyone holding up? Be honest. Are you riding the motivation wave, or are you having to dig a little deeper this week?

    Here’s your reminder: you don’t need to feel motivated to stay consistent. You just need to follow through on the habits you decided on when you were feeling clear-headed.

    Keep it simple:
    Protein at meals.
    Water throughout the day.
    Daily movement.
    Sleep when you can.

    The magic isn’t in doing more. It’s in repeating the basics.

An occasional drink with friends… I keep it to 1x a week max 2 glasses of dry wine or champagne ..

A “biggish” dinner with beer is hard… unless I planned for it. Somehow I have stayed in my calorie goal. But it’s not easy in those cases, without planning

    We’re a few days in now! How’s everyone feeling? Sometimes the first week feels exciting and motivating… and sometimes it feels like “okay wow, I forgot this takes effort.” Both are normal.

    This week isn’t about perfection. It’s about building rhythm. Getting back into routines that make you feel good. Going to bed a little earlier. Drinking a little more water. Moving your body even when you don’t feel like it.

    Spring doesn’t bloom overnight. It happens gradually. Steadily. That’s what we’re doing here.

    Tell me one win you’ve had so far, big or small. Maybe you skipped the drive-thru. Maybe you hit your steps. Maybe you just showed up even when you didn’t feel motivated. It ALL counts.
    Let’s celebrate progress, not perfection! 🌷

I did skip the drive-through today, and instead, I stopped in at the ShopRite and grabbed tuna and low-carb wraps and had one of those for lunch

It has been a little bit since my last DietBet. My account was still there and my weight is about the same. I’m not sure that is a good thing. I started a step app to win money/prizes for steps and DietBet popped up in my email. I feel it was fate so here I am. My goals this week are to walk/hike no less than 3 times this week and be mindful of what goes in my mouth. Good luck all!

The step app is called WeWard. You walk and get points. I play against others too. You can pay for premium but I’m just in the free version. It is really forcing me to get out and walk even in my freezing weather.

Looking forward to some great motivation to get back on track after my last transformer in 2024. I had done pretty good at maintaining for a year or so. Then the holidays hit and a few vacations and I just decided that I needed some good accountability to get back on track and hopefully that can get me back to where I was and I’m going to shoot for lower than I was! Cheers to getting habits up and going before summer!

  • This will probably my last DietBet weight loss competition. I will have lost 135 since April 16, 2025 (first DietBet competition), and more than 150 since February 2025. I may participate in maintenance competitions. DietBet has been an outstanding tool for personal accountability and accurate tracking.
