So, question- I’ve never done a transformer before... I’ll be in Vegas May 5-10, am I going to miss the first weigh in?? Can I weigh in before I go or after I get back?

Honestly, even if you aren't able to do a round 1 weigh in, you aren't really missing much as far as winnings. I've done enough of these transformers that you really only lose out on the initial $12.50 bet for the round and your split of the round 1 pot which is usually only a couple of dollars. Pot split gradually increases each round as less people make goal. You'll more than make up for missing round 1 weigh in by making the 10% goal at the end of the transformer.

As Christina said you have until midnight on the 10th (PDT) to weigh in. I weighed in at the hospital a few weeks with no problem. BTW, they will accept an older full length photo so take one before you leave and then you won’t need to ask someone to do that.

One of my favorite healthy recipes is taco salad. I just cook lean ground beef, season with taco seasoning, and use it to top a bed of lettuce or baby spinach. I usually add some black beans, corn, salsa, and avocado to top it off! When watching carbs i don’t use black beans and corn but will add a little extra flavor with spicy dressing and/or shredded cheese! So easy! And you can mix up the meats. sometimes instead of beef I do shrimp, chicken, or carne asada!

Gahh, my scale is the devil, lol! The thing that makes me nervous about winning being based on scale, is that it can fluctuate sooooo much from day to day. Sunday, I was so excited to see I had lost a few pounds (water weight, but still, lol), then when I weighed-in Monday, it was just under a pound lost 😢...2 days later, back down again! Think I’m going to ‘unofficially’ weigh-in every day so I can see the range to give a clearer picture...or maybe just not weigh on Mondays as I usually ‘free day’ on Sundays (didn’t really this Sunday though

I weigh and log it every day so I have an idea of how my body reacts to different foods and exercise. I only take every Thursday as my official weight though.

I definitely used to be one that didn't like to weigh often...was better to avoid obsessing, lol. I think I'm at a place now though where it's helpful to see the fluctuations (and I'm expecting them), to know that overall things are going in the right direction, but things can make those numbers bounce around a bit.

I'm bummed today. I was down two pounds during the week, but have been sick the last few days and cough like crazy when I exercise, so I took a couple days off. Not eating much, but my progress weighin showed no loss at all. Not giving up or giving in, just feeling tired and sick. Could've used a little good news.😥

Just keep doing what you know works, it will go down eventually...I haven't been sick but haven't lost anything this whole week either! It is very upsetting but I have faith my weight will go down if I am doing all the things I know work.

Thank you, everyone. Your encouragement helps a LOT! I will keep persevering. The good news is that I went to the doc's today and, even tho I have bronchitis, the official medical scale is 4 pounds less than I weighed at home!:blush:

The first month is a lot for me. 3% is big when you've already been losing. Not sure why we need to lose almost 1/3 of the weight in only the first 1/6 of the bet! Oh well. Last one is what counts!

Yay! Got below 290 this morning! That's almost 33 lbs since the first week of February. Next goal is to get to below 280, but trying for 275) by my birthday at the end of May.

Ate light. Drank 120 oz. water. Did yardwork.
I've done 30 min. on my elliptical twice today and going again now for one last time. After that a shower and sweet sleep :) I'll probably wake up in the morning and have to go at it some more, but that's ok. Whatever it takes, as long as I make goal.

Just posted my first official weighin. Have always wanted to do this but was too afraid. I started a low calorie diet last November and have lost 27 lbs sontjought tjis would be a good motivator to keep me going. I need to lose 100 pounds!! I need all the help I can get! I’m sixty years old with bad knees but not giving in!!
