  • Think I may take a much needed rest day today. When I started dietbets back up last month, 4-6k steps was my average and 8k was a GOOD day! Now, a little over a month later, I usually get at least 8k. This week I made sure to set a half hour a side every day to take a walk. (and just have a half hour to myself! Spending 24/7 with my baby for the last 7 months with NO alone time has been rough. Finally making my hubby watch her and this past week I have felt better than I have in months!!) But the exercise everyday on top of only sleeping 6 hours most night has caught up and I'm exhausted! Gonna take a day or two to recooperate and go from there!

I'm doing a dietbet and stepbet.. it's been brutal on my planter facia but I'm keeping w my 10.9k base steps.. power days are a bit harder at 13.2k. you can do this! Take a day off and enjoy it.

  • Good morning, team! I’ve been MIA for the last 3 days as I’ve fallen off the wagon HARD. Election stress has gotten the best of me! Ive probably ruined my chance to win this round but at least this round I know that it’s because of my own actions, unlike last round when I had no idea why the scale was stuck. Starting my day off with a protein coffee (black coffee plus this creamer) and getting back into the right mind set. How are you doing this round?

I’ve been trying to reduce the amount of meat I eat throughout the week and replace it with beans. Not really aiming to be vegetarian. I just want to be healthier overall as I have high blood pressure and am overweight. Has anyone tried this without becoming all vegetarian? What has it been like for you? Thanks!

Anyone else fasting? I blew it for a few days after I finished up my last weight bets. I’m going to do a fast for 36 hours and clean out my system and jump start my new weight loss regiment. Any one else have a success story with fasting? I’d love to hear it or any other new weight loss programs that have helped you keep the weight off. That’s my biggest struggle! Best of luck to everyone!

Wow! Thanks everyone for your advice! I’m taking it and just finished up a 36 hour fast and I’m not hungry yet, I’ve been drinking tons of calorie free liquids. I’m going to try to make it two days. I’ve only had one small break before I went to bed I had a couple scrambled eggs. I was told if it’s carbs and under 500 calories it’s okay one time a day during a fast. I can’t go to sleep starving. Have you heard that too?

I think your calories depend on how long you’re fasting. I usually stick to 200 calories or less if I’m doing a 24 hour fast. I’ve never heard anything about carbs vs protein but if it works for you, keep doing it!

  • It’s amazon prime day. I was thinking about getting a Fitbit. (I’ve used this platform in the past and liked it.) Amazon has the versa 2 on sale. Has anyone used this model or would recommend another Fitbit model?

I have Versa and love it. Water proof, tracks sleep, heart rate, etc. Link with Achievement and accumulate points for money. I get $10 every six months, my husband earns faster so $10 about every 4 months. Its small but another tool to keep motivated.

LOVE Fitbit. Having 10,000 steps as a goal always makes me think twice and take the stairs, park my car way far away in the grocery store parking lot, go for a quick walk at the end of the hour, etc.

I currently have the Alta HR & I really like knowing my heartrate and what it can tell me about sleep. Highly recommend any fitbit. :heartpulse:
