I see. My daycare closes at 4:45. There is one gym that does a 4 pm HIIT class but it’s so expensive!


Someone else here mentioned FitnessBlender.com - if you can find a space in your house (and I’ve done them in hotel rooms so it doesn’t have to be big) and 30 mins they have hundreds of workouts (lots of HIIT) for free. Or you can spend $10-15 for a 4 week program thatyou can keep forever. Also great advice on nutrition & exercise for real people, real food, and FREE! Highly recommended.

Hi everyone! I started this dietbet today. I am desperate to get my life back on track. I graduated college in 2013 and immediately started law school that fall. I weighed 160 lbs. had definitely gained weight in college, but I still felt really good and liked the way my clothes fit. Law school was stressful- there were plenty of take-out nights and wine nights. I graduated and then took the bar exam, weighing in around 180 lbs. (July 2016). From there it kind of just spiraled out of control. I am currently 213 lbs and I am so disappointed in myself about it. I want to feel good again! I have worked out on-and-off over the past several years. Not consistently. My biggest struggle is cutting out alcohol (every social event revolves around it) and portion control. I am glad to be a part of this group.

Hi Emily! Congrats on your degree! You can do it! Here for the support! I also need to lose the rest of my lbs! Maybe you can find a happy medium? Only drinking one glass of wine at a social event a week? Not sure how much you go out - but limiting the times you drink a week could be a good start! Two years ago , I told myself no drinking at home alone - I used to love coming home from work and having one glass of wine to just relax and decompress. I now sometimes pour Trader Joe’s sparkling water in a wine glass and pretend. Lol. We got this!

You have something that you accomplished! Good for You! Must have been lots of hard work. A little tip that worked for me was to switched out my chasers like coke and 7up for soda and lemon and lime. Just as refreshing and less sugar. Those soft drinks are a killer for sugar. There's also lighter beer like Canadian 67 which has 70 calories per bottle instead of the usual 100 calories. Small changes help, go big or go home doesn't have to be how you live lol the little things count for a lot in the end

As I cut calories to try and reach my goals with you all I would like some advice. I really struggle with hunger pangs before bed time. There is nothing like that big sandwich or pizza then a full nights rest for me. I have trouble even falling asleep unless I eat something and eating before bed is such a bad habit and builds so much fat. What do you all do, I was thinking about something like pop corn or rice cakes to still eat something but something low calorie while still filling

I'm the same way! I used to basically not eat all day due to working (I'm a waitress and if I'm busy I don't usually get hungry or have time to eat a big meal) and then eat all night long until I go to sleep. Everything written here helps. Drinks more water or tea or both, it fills you up and I heard that sometimes you feel hungry because you're dehydrated. Or try eating you're last meal a bit later at night closer to bedtime. Snacking on celery or any veggies is good too because it's not as many calories as chips or cookies

  • Found a healthy version of mini pizzas on portobello mushrooms. If you like mushrooms, they are delicious. Low calorie and low carb.

Yep. I’ve got an 8 month old, pushing to make it to 1 year. Finding the right time to work out is tricky.

I do! I have a nine month old, also aiming to make it to a year. I have lost weight the past few months while still keeping up with my supply by drinking a ton of water and keeping daily calories in the 1800-2000 range. That’s what works for me but everyone is different!
