Who can give me solid kick in the butt? One week in and all I do is eat and not exercising. I dropped a couple of pounds in my first two days and gained back everything in the remainder of the week. I know I can still make it, but I am really really struggling..

Ask yourself 2 questions. 1. Why do I want to lose weight? 2. What stopped me trying? Every time you eat, you have the choice of choosing something healthy or not. Remember, even if your last meal was unhealthy it is not a reason to stop eating healthy the rest of the day. You have everything you need to win this dietbet!! Make the choice to win and go after it every day. You've got this!

Oh wow, you are all so right!!! Thanks a lot guys, really appreciate your answers. DietBet really does help!! I will get back at it tonight! Got myself healthy groceries for a good dinner tonight and I will get back into it. Like @nacas said, good results are easy to get you off track. But as Debby Z. Is saying, I have to think about why i want to lose the weight. Thanks you all!!! I will do it and listen to you!

I'm 6 months away from turning 40 and I refuse to enter a new decade still hating my body!! This is my first DietBet and I'm looking forward to trying something new. I tend to do well with challenges and competition, so I'm optimistic.

I have a long history of eating disorders including both anorexia and compulsive eating. Long story short, I do not have a healthy relationship with food and I don't think I ever really have. I tend to take things too far either one way or the other. This time around I'm going to focus on eating clean and self care instead of removing entire food groups or excessive restricting.

I'm curious what plans everyone is planning to follow. Keto? Paleo? Weight Watchers?

I don't do diets either. They never work for me. I have looked into the Mediterranean diet and figured I would try it. I love veggies and think I can do this easier than others. Stay positive!


No "diets" - they're always like punishment for me. Eating what I like but responsibly and trying not to eat chocolate, potato crisps, fast food etc.
