Is personal trainer necessary or can self training yield the same results when trying to tone up. Any advice is highly appreciated.

I’ve never had a weekly trainer but at my old gym I would have a training session every 4-5 months. She designed a workout program for me that catered to my body and goals. We’d go through the program/exercises together. She had me doing things I’d never have done on my own. I loved it! It was a great investment.

I’ve done both and honestly the best results have been from home workouts! I did a personal trainer at my Equinox gym and went 1-2 times a week for three months. It was motivating at that time but I didn’t really learn anything I could do on my own. Once quarantine happened I started at home workouts and I’ve been more consistent with them and have seen way better results. It also saves me an enormous amount of money. I think it comes down to consistency. Which one will you do more frequently and what will you enjoy more

Last Thursday I weighed in at 149.4 I was happy bc it was the lowest I’ve been in years and the exact weight I need to be to win this DietBet BUT since then my weight has crept up and has been ranging from 152.5-155. I had drinks over the past few days but I made sure my food was normal, my water was high, and I got my steps in (TOM is not for another few weeks). I am so confused as to what is happening. Did this happen to anyone else or has this happened to anyone before?

  • Y'all, I think the last time I was in the 170s was 6th grade 😳 NO JOKE!! This is so weird and wonderful and I'm so proud of myself for working so hard and being consistent!! Still have 2 lbs left to go for my Dietbet goal but I'm thrilled to be out of the 180s FOR GOOD!!! 💪💪💪

  • I weighed myself yesterday and I’m officially down 100 pounds! About 30 more to go.
    I remember thinking I’d never lose this weight and that I would just always be overweight. But I never gave up. Even on days where I would fall off and give into my cravings, I would just get back on track the next meal. Hoping this is motivation for anyone who is struggling or thinks they can’t do it. You CAN do it! Don’t give up! ❤

  • I woke up 2 lbs heavier ?? probably from the cheese I ate (I’m vegan). So I went for a 2 mile walk with the dogs and then a Nike Training Club beginner upper body workout and a NTC lower body workout and I’m spent. I hope I can lose the 6 lbs in a week.

Been there many times, hard to get "me time", I know.. but don't beat yourself up so much, you know you can do it before, just jump back onto that horse and run like no one is watching!! Those pictures should encourage you even more now, breathe and go!! Even the smallest steps you can take, should be your encouragement to make it happen again!!
