Last year I was part of my first "Transformer" diet bet. I met my goal the first month. The second month the weigh in was over Memorial day weekend and I was camping with no access to a scale or signal to connect. From there on out I never met my goal.
Any time I think about losing weight I do great for the first 4 - 6 weeks. After that I just quit, thinking it is too hard and I miss my sweets (I'm a big chocolate fan).
How do you stay motivated for the long term - make life long changes?

I picked up running, and the motivation and the competition with myself is what has cause actual change. The weight lose is a byproduct of the training. As i am dropping pounds the faster I am, so win win. Sucks that all the races have been canceled though.

As long as you’re in calorie deficit you can still have chocolate! I have a square or two every day to help curb cravings.
