I think I may have lost like 5 Lbs in two days here in Texas no water, power, cellphone, and busted water pipes. Which meant no eating. But a lot of exercise.

I am 39 years old. I have battled my weight all my life. Lose 20, gain 30. Lose 30, gain 40. Until I got up to 394 pounds. My daughter is watching me. My overweight son needs to learn from me. My blood tests are telling me I need help. Disease is rampant in my family. I have a MILLION Whys and I promise - I vow - I swear... I AM GETTING TO A HEALTHY WEIGHT THIS TIME!   • I love veggies! I love them even more when they are already cut up for me and ready to sauté. I’ve been loving this Taylor Farms bag of veggies. I cut back on the sugar by replacing the teriyaki sauce with a spicy soy ginger garlic sauce. I will Top with fish or tofu. Today it’s just about the veggies.

  • Meal prep done for the week.
    I find it helpful to buy pre-made bags of salad then add cucumber. I made tuna to add on top of the salad. I sliced cucumbers and Celery to pair with hummus for a healthy snack. I’m ready and motivated!

I’m down one more pound today. Don’t know if that will last though. It was 18* at our house this morning. No electricity and no running water. Been 14 hours without. Electricity may be on about midnight. So we are eating convenience store food. We found ONE corner store open a few miles from our house. But our home is well insulated, we are warmly dressed and have blankets. We just didn’t want cold canned food.

Ok last week was tough for me and I’m glad I wasn’t quite ready to weigh in... but today I’m so ready, motivated and determined to eat right and feel good. Threw away All the junk that has been accumulating in the house and at work. Here we go!

Same! Sometimes seeing the scale fluctuate is the perfect motivation. I know it is for me. I ate a lot of sodium and heavy food and allowed myself to snack in the evening which I have not been doing. Time to get it back in gear, good luck!!
