  • Post workout “glow”
    Proud of myself today for a few reasons. First, I made it through a vacation and birthday and managed to not blow it entirely! Second, I had a couple of binge meals last week, and instead of giving up (like past missteps), I just picked myself up and jumped back into the routine. Third, I’m enjoying getting dressed up again. I wore yoga pants most days for the past 3-4 years (yes, even to work!). But I used to enjoy getting glammed up... and I think I’m getting back to that place! To me, that means that instead of wanting to wear sweats and fade into the background, I’m beginning to feel proud of myself again ♥

Ok my friends as I've told you all I downloaded a app called carb master for diabetics. It says I can have 60g a day of carbs. What do I eat all day to stay under 60g. I had a scrambled egg with green bell peppers and onions with 2 slices of toast. 6 oz. Of Pepsi and 2 Tbsps peanutbutter and it says I am over that I have eaten 334g carbs today. I dont know what to do besides do not drink Pepsi. HELP PLEASE

Is that all the food you had for that many carbs? If you don't want to give up bread find a thin sliced kind. Or only eat one slice.

A few small tips to help - avoid the sugary sodas, maybe have 1 slice of toast instead of 2 or switch to lite bread, and switch to smuckers natural peanut butter with less added sugar. Also light cheese is carb free - I like Sargento lite string cheese as a snack and a few nuts, walnuts are super healthy. Berries like raspberries and blackberries have the fewest carbs of fruits, strawberries good too and blueberries only slightly more - just don't overdue. Hope this helps a little

I was really hoping I would win my bet but the pre-mensy cravings have started to kick in and I caved last night and got a small Sonic blast. I also retain a lot of water during this week so I know there is no way I will meet my goal, which is a little frustrating since I reached my goal weight over a week ago then gained it back. But, this is life. I am not going to give up, I still want to lose that last 10 lbs (lost 52 since last July) pounds and have consistently been working out so some progress has been made.

It feels pretty gross when your all sweaty underneath it but once you dry off and shower it really feels good like you went to a sauna! And of course some water weight is gone:wink:

It is all natural also - green tea is awesome. I drink 3-4 cups a day and I have lost 12 kgs since 27 December.

That is great. I hurt my shoulder after a fall last year and it got progressively worse over a few months until the point where I thought I was going to need surgery. It wasn't until I started taking collagen and going to the gym regularly that the pain stopped altogether!
I can appreciate how happy you are not to have to deal with that pain. Hopefully, it will only get better from here.
