New NSV today! I have been really frustrated because the scale is not moving. AND I started my period today so I’ve felt pretty blah. At the after school program I teach at, the kids wanted to play kick ball, so I decided to play too. For 80 minutes! Definetly not something I could have done 2 diet bets ago!
Then, I went to Walmart to grab a cheap pair of jeans because mine were getting way too big. I figured I would get a 16 because what I had were a 20. I ended up getting a 14! The 16s were baggy! This was the boost I needed after the frustration with the scale!

  • If anyone is looking for a healthier alternative to regular potato chips, try these, they are yummy. I got them at Aldi's.

I have post partum anxiety- to cope I love the app “Headspace “ its free and guides you through mindfulness and very beginner friendly. I do also see a therapist occasionally and working out is honestly a huge part of my self-care. If i go a few days without it I can feel my mind shift. What are you dealing with?

Had an awful day at work today. I’m mentally so exhausted and I have to do so much work for uni as well. I’m actually thinking about calling in sick tomorrow and just drive home to my family. Uni+Work Life sucks. I know it’s not cool for my coworkers but I feel so down right now I know it would go worse tomorrow. Ugh idk sorry for rambling. Just had to get this off my chest

College and work together are so hard. But it is worth it to be a hard worker when you are young. You will be prepared for life!! You got this!

Today I woke up 169 from a long time in 170.2... 170.4....170.6. I have been elated all day dreaming about how much I have accomplished by trusting the process. I started 187 so I have lost 18 pounds so far and I am so proud of me for doing this and also for still feeling "habitated" ( thats motivated when motivation is gone and its just a habit). I am focused, strong and bought on the whole: everything adds up. It is really adding up.

I lost my last dietbet but that didnt stop me or give me a reason to throw everything away.

Also I am curious.. whats everyone final goal weight?

Mine is 175 (I am 5'9, so 175 and fit looks great on me), I got down to 181 a few weeks ago, so trying to make my goal by May (currently 200 even).
According to the BMI scale, I will still be slightly overweight but that is a great improvement from where I started in the obese range.

  • Hey guys! So I got my wedding photos back today from my wedding in November. I was a little upset because some of the photos, I have a double chin, my arms look a little too big, and my face is a bit too round. My husband says I look perfect in every single photo, even when I see so many flaws. He’s very supportive of me doing this dietbet for myself and to feel good when we go to Florida in May for our honeymoon! So far, I am down 3 pounds! My dietbet goal is 9.5, but I’m aiming for 10! Praying I can do this, and stick to it! ❤

I’m really excited for this challenge. In just over a month, I have to attend a work conference in Orlando. I’d love to drop 10-15lbs before then!

  • While my kids ate icecream, I considered giving up my progress on Atkins just so I could eat some too. Thankfully, I'd just bought these snack bars, so my sweet tooth emergency was taken care of...

So, this is my first diet bet. I really need the motivation and really want to get healthy. This morning I woke up coughing up a lung and feeling like crap. I don't want to derail my first bet. Any thoughts or tips on staying motivated when you're sick?

Once I consistently started eating better and working out, I rarely got sick, felt sluggish or got the dreaded brain fog. At most I would get a mild headache but that was because I was doing a low carb diet and when that happened, I would increase my carb intake and felt better. I know it sounds cliche but your diet really does affect how you feel. It won't happen overnight but it will happen. Good luck and feel better.
