Hey everyone,

My name is Krystyna, and I joined this DietBet to help motivate me to get serious about losing a few pounds, and keeping it off—my weight has been a roller coaster over the years....I do well for awhile, then wind up backsliding. With summer around the corner, and my 36th birthday approaching (tomorrow!), I want this to be my healthiest year yet!

I’m also using this DietBet to experiment with a more plant-based diet—I’ve been a heavy meat eater for years, and think it negatively affected my kidneys 😟 So, I’m hoping my body (and waistline) respond well to my new diet. I’m really digging this water challenge—I’m up to 32 oz today, and don’t think I’ll have any problems hitting 64 oz

Welcome Krystyna! We're so happy to have you here with us! Thank you for introducing yourself! Plant-based diets really do seem to help a lot of people. There's lots to be said for all those healthy veggies! I wish you the best in your efforts and in reaching your goals!

I'm trying to eat more balanced. I struggle with getting enough protein, so I'm really paying attention to balancing protein, carbs, and fat right now.

This is my first dietbet and of course over this weekend I developed a UTI. I’ve been going to the gym 6 days a week for 9 weeks now, but when I tried to go today I was only able to stay on the elliptical for 10 minutes. This pain is so bad 😞 I am always so disappointed when I can’t go to the gym, even if I am physically not able to. I always end up blaming myself somehow. Does anyone have the same experience and/or have tips for not blaming yourself when you can’t follow your plan?

Thank you so much Meghan! That was so amazing to read. Everything you said made me feel so much better. I appreciate your response very much.

No problem Girl! I got you! Don’t be so hard on yourself! I hope you are starting to feel better? Antibiotics? My MIL get them a lot.
