    I say this every time I do a dietbet. And it is why I stopped doing them for a little while. I see SO MANY people get fixated on not losing the weight fast enough. Its about that time (halfway through the game) where people are getting discouraged.


    Now I know that sounds crazy coming from someone hosting a game about losing 4% in 4 weeks. But this game was created to keep you accountable. To give you a little extra motivation. To give you a community of support. To learn and get new ideas/recipes. ANY LOSS SHOULD BE CELEBRATED.

    If you don’t hit the 4% goal, YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. If you don’t think youre going to hit it in the next 2 weeks….. that doesnt mean you just give up!!!! KEEP. GOING. Where will you be 2 weeks from now if you quit?? Probably right back where you started. WHERE WILL YOU BE 2 WEEKS FROM NOW IF YOU KEEP GOING???? Even if you aren’t at that 4%….you will still have made progress MENTALLY and maybe even physically.

    If you come out of this with 1 pound loss or a 10 pound loss, YOU ARE AMAZING and YOU HAVE MADE PROGRESS. IM YELLING BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO HEAR ME 😭😂 I don’t want my games to make you feel like 4% weight loss is all that matters. WE ARE TALKING LONG TERM SUSTAINABILITY. LONG TERM SUCESS. This is SO MUCH BIGGER than just 4 weeks. This is your life. THIS is the time you’re not going to give up when things aren’t going exactly how you thought or planned.

    This is me telling you to stop giving up on yourself. Stop comparing yourself to others. Remember that a bigger initial drop on the scale and then seeing out slow down is NORMAL. It doesn’t mean you are starting to plateau, it doesn’t mean you’re failing. JUST KEEP GOING. And be damn proud of every and any success you’re having, small or big. It all counts.

Thank you! I needed this! I was about to post all my failures. But I did sign up! That shows I haven’t quit! I am going to take the next 2 weeks to eating healthier, and hopefully you will have another diet bet next month! I bought a juicer and bread making machine (our store cannot get whole wheat buns here). So I’m going to try juicing and a bread machine. I really need to be healthy as I can. I am older and feel weak and tired all the time. I will also try to do exercises I learned while I was going to rehab. Thank you so much for helping me to not give up! :heart:

  • Went camping this weekend & really did set myself up for success BUT ended up eating almost no food & drinking wayyyyyy too many cayman jack margaritas 😅 I’m not even going to put them into my tracker bc I’d rather not know & what’s done is done 😂 BUT I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s meal plans bc I’ve got nothing for this week & I’m trying my best to take Felicias advice to get right back to it after a little hiccup like this

My bf & I are planning on going camping this weekend... does anyone have any good, healthy camping meal ideas? I’m trying to come up with things that won’t HAVE to be kept super cold bc then I’ll just be stressing all weekend that the ice isn’t lasting long enough or keeping things cold enough in the cooler😅😂

Thank you for the suggestions everyone! We decided on veggie burritos (I should have mentioned I don’t eat meat:sweat_smile:) that we’ll make ahead & freeze so they help everything stay cold in the cooler! Lots of fruit & carrots & pb for snacks & the banana smores:yum:

I haven’t started it just yet. I’ve done sugar cleanses and they are super hard, but it’s so good to reset my sugar intake. I love sugar WAY too much! And with the summer and covid here, my alcohol intake is a bit on the high side

  • As I was making my wrap for lunch (ole wellness tortilla, hummus, blue cheese crumbles, fresh spinach, Tyson naturals chicken strips), it hit me that I was willingly eating spinach, which I hated as a kid. Then I was thinking that there’s a TON of things I make and eat that I wouldn’t have eaten when I was a kid - asparagus, green beans, fresh peppers, scallops, shrimp, sweet potatoes, sugar snap peas....long list. So my question to you...what are some things you eat now that your earlier self wouldn’t eat?

    For anyone joining who doesn’t follow me through instagram I want to do a little introduction! My name is Felicia Keathley, I’m a 24 year old mom of 2 boys. 3 years ago I started my weight loss journey. I joined Weight Watchers, starting walking everyday and doing some easy weight lifting. Over the course of a year and a half I lost 147 pounds and have been maintaining ever since (with a pregnancy in between!) I am now 5 months postpartum and back to my goal weight of 160 lbs (I am 5’7)

    If I have learned anything over the last 3 years, it is that sustainability is the most important part of weight loss. Setting yourself up during your weight loss journey to have a successful maintenance/life long journey is SO IMPORTANT. Because losing weight is great, but keeping it off is the main goal! You will hear me talk about this a million times in the next 4 weeks lol

    I want this $35 to keep you accountable to lose weight, but also be an investment into yourself to grow MENTALLY along with physically. I want to help set you up for success POST dietbet, so you can continue to grow and continue this journey after this challenge is over.

    I want to make it VERY clear that any extreme, dangerous, or unhealthy methods of weight loss will not be tolerated. Any posts encouraging unhealthy methods will not be allowed.

    I want this to be a safe place for everyone and a judgment free zone. Please no belittling, arguing, or putting down any members or someones way of eating (Paleo, WW, keto, etc) Everything works different for everyone! What someone else is doing may not work for you and that’s okay! Lets either support each other, or just don’t say anything at all!
