  • This is the part you truly have to focus on. Train your brain! It’s not easy to say “no” every time temptation pops up but sometimes you have to. We live in a world of overindulgence and we have to learn to treat ourselves every once-in-a-while instead of treating ourselves at every meal. Learn to say “no” and have control over your indulgences and you’ve won half the battle!

Yes!!!! I have found investing time in practicing mindfulness to be the best way to achieve control over my emotions.

  • Hi! I'm Val! I've been over weight most of my life. Back in 2015/2016 I put a ton of effort in and I lost 170 pounds! Which was great then over the past two years I slowly put about half of it back on. I'm rededicating myself to losing the weight and focusing on living each day making healthy choices for myself.

    My WHY? I do best with short and long term goals.

    Short term: Look cuter in my holiday party dress. ;)

    Long term: Make sure my body is healthy enough to have kids :) and be in a BMI range that is NORMAL for the first time in my life :D

    Excited to be a part of this competition :)
