    *Here is a little info about me: I grew up in Utah and moved to Virginia the beginning of 2020. I have 5 kids, 2 cats, and am married to my best friend for the last 18 years.
    *My weight loss plan this month is to: I have been doing calorie counting for a while, and it has really helped me. I use MyFitnessPal to keep track of food and exercise and will continue with this.
    *One of my triggers is: Stress.
    *I plan to tackle this trigger by: Not sweating the small stuff. And making sure I am exercising as a way to relieve the stress in my life.
    *A motivational quote I love is: I can’t even think of one. Lol
    *Fun fact about me: I am 38 and have moved over 30 times in my life.
    *All I want for Christmas is: a pair of jeans that fits and looks good.
    Below is my progress pic, down 47 pounds total over 3 years. 2020 interrupted my momentum and caused me to put about 20 back on, but I am back at it.

I hope I will make goal, but it's going to be close. I've been at the same weight now for a couple weeks and it's not budging. I'm about 2 lbs away. Hopefully this will be the week my weight will finally go down. It's getting a lot more challenging now that I'm getting closer to my first big goal.

  • This post is for those who messed up this weekend.

    First of all, take a deep breath and recite these words, "I AM HUMAN. I AM PERFECTLY IMPERFECT."

    Next, take a moment to think about why you you feel off course: were you living in the moment and celebrating something/someone? Don't sweat going off course if that's the case. You have every right to LIVE and to enjoy food (even "bad" food, in moderation).

    Or maybe you were feeling some sad/negative feelings and you emotionally ate. If that's the case, it may be time to take a moment to reflect on what triggered you and how you can combat that again in the future.

    Perhaps you got a case of the SCREW-IT'S (like the image below) and you had a moment where you caved and gave up. To those people, we are only a few days into this game and there is soooo much time to turn a new leaf and hit your goal. Remember why you started this challenge and don't give up.

    Whatever your reason, if you went off track this weekend, take care to not "slash your other 3 tires" and make that weekend off-track become a week...month...etc.

    One mistake a lot of people make after a weekend splurge is being extra restrictive to try to "make up" for what they did "wrong." That is a good way to make your brain feel deprived, which can easily lead to a binge... and then a vicious, extreme eating, cycle begins.

    Try not to be extra restrictive today, just work today as if you would have if you'd been perfectly on point this weekend.

    Longevity is the name of the health game, not quick fixes/extreme actions to see results. There is time, so be careful and kind with yourself today.

What a struggle to get my 7 year old to take a rule following/ full body picture! 😂 This month, I’ll be focusing on food tracking, no mindless snacking in the evenings, and closing my exercise ring on my watch each day. Hi! My name is Candice and I currently live in Virginia. I have struggled with my weight for the last 17 years through 5 pregnancies. In 2019 I lost 50 pounds, then I moved across the country, Covid hit, and I stopped working on myself. I did the last diet bet and hit my goal, and am excited to continue with my weight loss. I am focusing on calorie counting using MFP to keep track. I have been going to the gym 5-6 days a week, and plan to keep that going.
