The comments bashing Mr. Horton are absolutely ridiculous. One person stating she works in a trauma room and Tony could never do her job. Well she obviously can't do his job either or she wouldn't be so dependant on his motivation to get her through. Life happens people, give him a break. If you lost weight he actually did you a favor, he showed you that you can do it on your own. So stop with the negativity and just be thankful that you are on the road to a healthier and happier you. Lastly, I'd like to thank you Mr. Horton for all you have done over the years. You and your lifestyle are more than enough motivation for the millions of us around the world who are getting stronger and healthier each and every day. 🙅

Just submitted my final weigh in. Down 10 lbs which was 4.7% of my body weight! I worked out every day this past month, ate healthy, and was able to significantly increase my run mileage. It's great how the more you run, the better shape you get in and the more weight you lose, which both lead to running getting easier. Now to maintain and work toward my ideal body fat percentage. I believe this is a much more meaningful measure of fitness than weight, as a person's body type and amount of muscle can tip the scale one way or another. Anyone else tracking body fat percentage? Finally, while I enjoyed the challenge and commitment of the DietBet program, I also feel shortchanged by Tony Horton's lack of participation. My sister and I joined because of him. Two or three messages over the course of a month is unacceptable and an embarrassment for him and DietBet. I hope he declines his fee or donates it to charity to make up for it.

I had the same problem, pms bloating. I ran 3.5 miles and right after made my goal weight.


Apparently I peed enough today to make it! Woohoo!

  • Earlier I posted about reaching -100lbs since October, then I took some photos.
    This is diet only, no exercise due to chronic illness. Diet is Optifast monitored by doctor.
    9 months, no cheat meals. Has not been easy!!
    I learnt to crochet and I do that when I get a craving.

how many people here do more than one diet bet at a time? i’m thinking about doing another diet bet soon (before this one ends) but i’m not sure if it would be better to wait until this one is over to start. just curious to see what other people do. this is my first diet bet and i really like it!

I am doing a transformer right now. I tend to get lazy on it though (10% in 6 months is not aggressive enough for me) ... and the interaction is nearly nonexistent. But I like doing bets back to back... at first I did not like the week-long break in between but now I appreciate the break.


I did my first diet bet with Jamie Eason as the host. She was amazing. I lost a total of 12lbs. She provided us with a daily workout routine that included videos and also meal plan and grocery list. I was disappointed that this one doesn’t offer any guidance etc.
