  • Today is the last day to submit your final weigh in!! How did y'all do?! I'm not going to lie..this last week I let my emotional eating get the best of me. So unfortunately I'm not going to win. However, I'm still amazing, strong, brave and wonderful! Remember you are too regardless if you reached the 4% goal!!

I'm SO proud of y'all for busting your butts physically, mentally and emotionally. This past week showed me I haven't made as much progress emotionally as I thought I had, so that's what I'm going to focus on hard the rest of the year! I finally found a church I love and am getting connected with which will be a big help.

I love y'all and am truly thankful for your support and encouragement. I've had so many of repeat players in my games and it makes me so happy to do this together ❤ Keep pushing!!!

I also didn't win this, another kick and the round of my transformer. Sometimes I just need a break from "trying to lose" weight. It doesn't usually happen during Dietbets but it did this time. I did get back on track and managed to lose but missed goal by 3 pounds because I was above my starting weight for a couple weeks. I hope you all have wonderful holidays and enjoy the rest of your year.

Wendy P.

Thank you for hosting and your encouragement. Hope to see you on another diet bet, and congratulations to everyone whether you made it or not. Dont give up on yourself.

  • supper last night! roasted frozen beans and 100g of chicken breast. 356 calories and 34g of protein. i do eat carbs but i’ve been saving them for homemade banana bread haha and i love how easy a simple meat and vegetable sheet pan meal is

Ronda

Looks good. I often eat just chicken and veggies but I love my carbs also.

Amber A.

Hahaha I love how you prioritized your carbs!!

  • i’ve been eating over my calories this week (the frequent downside of making delicious homemade food haha) but yesterday i stayed on track even with some richer foods during the day. i decided to keep supper light with this easy meal of two frozen sole fillets and frozen broccoli baked for 25 minutes. this meal has 531 calories and 45g of protein and was sooo good!

thanks ladies!! my favourite way to cook frozen vegetables is roasting them with a little olive oil and salt and pepper, they turn out so tasty

Erin B.

Do you thaw them first?

Hi all. Hope you all are doing better than me. It's been a tough time this week. I have eaten things I normally don't eat the past 2 days. I also have not worked out. My father in law passed and I made a few poor choices in my food choices. Thankfully though, it was choices like mac and cheese and breaded fried chicken not cake and junk like that. I will be home in a few days. However I know that I will probably lose this bet.

Hello friends :) I'm feeling much better today! How are y'all doing?!?!? We still have 10 days left to hit our goals and work on healthy habits!! I had a gain this week but am not giving up. I'm excited to get back to working out now that my asthma has calmed down.

I'm really sorry I've been absent this last week. A new workout challenge will be posted this weekend.

Back on track since yesterday. Indulged too much for the past few days and now have a cold which is making it harder to work out!

  • back on track as of yesterday after a challenging weekend food wise. weekends aren’t always my days off but i struggle so much with overeating on any of my days off. but every day is a new day! this is what i had for lunch yesterday and today. 441 calories and 20g of plant protein. i’m also having yummy, protein filled snacks like cottage cheese, crackers and hummus, and my favourite protein granola bar to make sure i’m getting enough. this is my first time making edamame at home and i definitely need to get it into my regular rotation.

That all sounds delicious and healthy!! I understand with the days off.. when I worked outside of the home that was always the hardest part for me when trying to lose weight. Now it's constantly hard working from home.. Easier access to food, less accountability and boredom. I notice the days I'm super busy and have to run errands or take my mom to appointments that I eat less. It's like my mind is focused on all my to do items that I'm not thinking about food. I'm cheering your on and super proud you got refocused on your goals <3

Sonia G.

thank you Amber! i would definitely struggle more if i worked from home. it’s hard! thanks for all your support!!

How is everyone doing today?! I'm sick :( Head hurts, sinus and chest congestion and a sore throat..I had this a couple months ago and it took me out for like 2 weeks. Praying it doesnt get as bad this time! Been doing breathing treatments and taking some meds.

I'm doing really good on my water and had been doing good on my workouts until yesterday. I had some treats and didn't workout. Today I woke up feeling real crummy so I've rested alot. I've still been getting my walking in thanks to my puppy lol I've been slacking on tracking my food tho.. just wanted to update y'all on how I'm doing. I'd love to hear your progress/updates below!!

sorry to hear you’re under the weather! i’ve had a cold for the past few weeks, it hasn’t been too bad but i hate that it’s still lingering around.

i am struggling with eating for sure. i’ve been tracking all my food and i was totally on track from last saturday until thursday and then on friday i was having really bad binge urges. i tried all day to resist the urges by allowing myself to eat what i wanted but just portioning things and i still ended up binging on chocolate before bed. saturday and sunday i had no binges but i ate over my calories both days. why are weekends/days off work so hard? i’m trying to be back on track today but the last three days have definitely been challenging with regards to overeating.

Michael

I went through that a few weeks ago but this week has been good

  • Happy Halloween everyone!! I'm not big on this holiday (I'm a Christmas lover lol), but I wanted to give a little reminder... Don't TRICK yourself into thinking you've ruined your progress if you allow yourself a TREAT or two today! This is a lifestyle and we must learn a balance. It can be so so hard especially for those of us who struggle with binge eating..but a little over indulging is better than restricting and having no fun then being frustrated and giving into a full on binge bc you're sick of restricting.. that's my opinion at least... I hope y'all have a great day and get to see lots of cute little trick or treaters lol

I also encourage you to think of a way you can TREAT yourself today without candy/sweets!! I'm going to treat myself by doing a facial. This weather change is doing a number on my skin, so I'm going to show it a little TLC <3 What will you choose to do?!

love this message!! today i had a reese’s peanut butter cup (they gave them away after getting my flu shot) and i’ll be having some salted pumpkin seeds and chocolate chips this evening. i love the idea of finding ways to treat ourselves without food. tbh i struggle with this SO much

  • supper tonight was amazing and i have another pepper for supper tomorrow. the “salad” is quinoa, black beans, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper, and has been sitting in my fridge for a couple days.

thanks amber! i cook quinoa in the rice cooker, usually 1 cup quinoa to 2 cups water (which makes 3 cups cooked). this salad has become a staple for me, it’s great eaten cold with fresh vegetables in it too but since it’s cooler weather i wanted my food cooked!and cheese makes everything better lol

Amber A.

Oh yumm! I'll def give it a try and let you know what I think :) Thanks for the tips!
