After being stuck at the exact same weight for a few days, I'm down 1.6 pounds today! Now today's goal is to remember two pounds at a time, DINTEO on repeat, AND do NOT sabotage the awesome loss so you can have another weight loss day. Taking my two year old to a canned food film festival today - it'll be his first ever time at the movie theater and I'm thinking our treat will be flavored waters and fruit - no candy! We simply don't need it (and, tbh, I'm not a huge fan of most candy anyway, I just eat when it's there...). Here's to an awesome Wednesday everyone!

This gives me hope! I’ve been stuck at the exact same weight for a week an a half. I had even been EXACTLY counting calories. On Monday, I realized I was driving myself crazy, so I am just sticking to the tracker. It still hasn’t moved, but I’m trying to trust the process. I have to keep reminding myself that my goal isn’t to win the diet bet, but to have a downwards trend and have a push to work for it. I have a hard time remembering that though.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes, when I’m doing a diet bet, I focus way to much on the scale... and I don’t see any weight loss for a number of days.

One thing I’ve learned from Ilana is that if you’re too focused on the scale, you’re not focused enough on the 2 bunnies. instead of worrying about the scale, I’m going to focus on more water and veggies most, while tracking with details, and weighing daily for information only. That is my key to success!

Are the 2 bunnies water and veggies? I assume so based on your post, makes sense :) I feel you though about focusing too much on the scale and feeling affected when it doesn’t budge, I’m currently there right now.

AshRaz- most people in this group are doing Beachbody’s 2BMindset! It’s a nutrition educational program by Ilana (the overseer of this bet.) We have a bunch of slang we throw around!

I’m hopeful the scale will catch up... it hasn’t moved in a week and a half.. I’m doing both of the bunnies pretty perfectly... I’m just trying to trust the process, but it’s so triggering!

That’s not a small feat! That means you treated, but you didn’t binge! It’s a big deal to recognize that, because it is showing yourself that you can have treats and that you aren’t restricting them completely... so you don’t need to binge them when they become available. It’s a big deal!

Water first, treat yourself to the grilled entrees and keep the dressing on the side and you'll be great come Monday.

Always start with water and a side salad or entree salad before anything else. Or even do a broth based soup to start with (water). It will help satisfy you before you add treats. :-)

I know slow and steady wins the race, but I definitely have trouble staying in the moment, focusing on today, and not throwing in the towel because of how much weight there is to lose--I think I'll make today's goal finding one good vegetarian recipe that I can put in next week's meal plan. We have been rocking eggs and tofu. Tried this the other day! Added lots of roasted veggies (I roasted them while roasting the tofu), increased garlic and ginger. I decreased the soy sauce. It turned out YUMMY! Will marinade the tofu longer next time. Baking the tofu first really helped get out the excess moisture.

Hey hey hey! So I am leaving Saturday for a week long vacation and need some real help! How does everyone stay on track when they are away from home??? We will be staying at hotels the whole time and that means a lot of eating out! 😯😯😯 I am terrible when it comes to restaurants because I LOVE food and everything always looks so yummy! Any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Drink lots of water first, and look at the menu if possible before you get there. That way you can make a smarter choice and plan ahead :)

  • I always get really hungry when I get home from work, and often end up eating junk because im too impatient to make something better! Managed to make some carrot sticks instead today though! How do you guys plan for triggers like this?

I have the same problem! Starving from 4pm until dinner which is usually around 7-8 as my husband works later hours.

I know some people have their shakeology between lunch and dinner. I keep carrot sticks on hand! And lately I’ve been smashing up some avocados adding tomatoes and onions to it as well as garlic salt and portioning out a little and dipping my carrots into it!! So satisfying and it’s more veggies! And some days I have a beach bar.
