I’ve lost one bet now because I couldn’t weigh in, but hoping a friend can help me today. Last Wednesday I lost my home and 4 of my pets in a house fire. A total loss and I didn’t have a scale where I was staying and no place to weigh in front of a mirror. But I read the rules last night and seems if someone else takes the picture it will work.

thank you everyone for your kind words. The kindness of friends, family and old friends and strangers has lifted me up and helping me through these days. There are moments that it hits me, but have to forge on. I truly tossed the diet out this past week, but stress caused me still to lose weight. Well that and at first I barely ate for several days as just no appetite and probably wouldn't have eaten at all except the friends I'm staying with bugged me --- as good friends do

Starting this bet off on the right foot! The last bet I was in, I failed miserably. This one I know I can do! Today I biked to the gym, worked out, then biked home. I also made my lunch for work so I don't have to rely on gross vending machine food. How is everyone else starting this bet off!?

That’s great!

So far so good! I run 3x a week plus yoga/stretching regularly. I need to get back into functional strength. I’ll also be doing a LOT of yard work and outdoor projects during this bet so that will help. I drink 80-130oz of water daily (a big range, I know - eek) and am working on my nightly snacking which is what gets me in the most trouble for pushing my calories over. I’ve improved my gut health significantly over the past couple months and feel great most days. I’m this bet with a db gf and I know we’ll both crush it. Good luck everyone! :star2:

I have struggled throughout this whole dietbet going up and down the same 3-4 lbs. As a result I did not reach my final goal for this game, but i have not given up or gone back to old habits so it still feels good to be where Im at - which is 12lbs lighter & 6.5 inches smaller.

And as we finish this journey, im once again very grateful for dietbet & all of you that have helped me along the way just by sharing your stories. Congratulations to everyone in this group, and I hope to see you again in the next game! Unless youve reach your goal weight, then I hope to never see you here again 😂

You guys!! I have failed almost every round and barely missed the cutoff. However, this month I put my nose to the grindstone and MADE MY GOAL!!! I had to lose 4% to make my goal but I did it!! Now off to join more diet bets :)

Only 2 days left everyone, we made it! Sorry I haven't been around, life has been crazy. I've been feeling lousy with one thing after the next since the middle of July so my exercise game has been next to none for a couple months now. My mother and sister both have some potentially serious health issues going on, we'll know more in the next few days hopefully, so that has been on my mind a lot. Before I started this journey at the beginning of the year I was 237 pounds of an emotional/ stress eating mess. Somehow I've managed to break that cycle and I have lost 65.2 pounds this year and now sit just 7 pounds above my personal goal weight! I won't be joining another Diet Bet after this game has finished since I'm so close to my goal. That actually makes me sad since I've found so much joy and motivation from the groups I've been in. My next steps will be to learn how to maintain my weight loss (that's so scary to me!) and to rebuild some of the muscle I know I've lost over the last couple months while spending too much time sitting around.

How about you guys, what's next for you after this game? I wish you all the best with wherever your journey takes you!

I think I’m either going to do a maintainer or an 8 week 4% one. I’ve worked too hard - and this weight has come off too slow - to go into this season without accountability. I find DB really helps keep me going - hearing both the struggles and victories is so encouraging!!!

Love them! I also saw where someone took a muffin tin, sprinkled shredded cheese, a pickle slice and shredded cheese again and threw it in the oven. I want to try them.

It's been 13 years since I was under 80 kg. This morning the scale showed 78.4 kg. What a feeling!! I'm starting learnining how to maintain now. The first challenge will be in two weeks at the celebration after my firstborn's baptism (mind, two days before weight-out!). Lord help me manage my time and food well. Have a good Sunday, everyone!
