I'm feeling so discouraged. I was 0.4lbs from goal and I've gained 1.6 lbs since yesterday! Normally I'd think it's water weight, but I've been drinking more than my water goals so my system should be nice and flushed from sodium. I even ate dinner early, so plenty of time to digest before bedtime. 😣

Yep, that's exactly how I weigh myself, at the exact same time every single day, so unfortunately it's not based on when or how I weigh myself


If you drink a lot before bedtime you might show on the scale. Don't do that before weigh-in

This is what was happening to me before I started weighing all my food and recording all my calories.
I had all the healthy eating markers in place except for the amounts. They were crucial. Once I limited my calories it was pretty easy to start losing weight.


Sara the same happened to me. And I was really surprised! I thought the difference will be at 10% maybe but was more like 45%

I hit my step goal for the first time since I caught pneumonia two weeks ago! I’m so glad!!

  • Hi!

    I’m Sara and I am from Columbus Ohio. This is my second dietbet and the first one was the perfect spark to get me on track to get rid of this extra weight I’ve put on since transitioning out of school into my full time job.

    I’m a metalsmith as my day job, so I spend a lot of time holding still while soldering teeeeeny things 💍. That lack of movement has taken a tole on my health. My studio is in my home, and so it also led to a snacking problem when I’m procrastinating.

    I have a super careful and healthy (pescatarian, no fast food, no sodas, no alcohol, no palm oils) lifestyle, but those extra calories add up even when they’re “good” foods!!

    My approach to weight loss is to log all my food and calories. I use a scale and do it by mass because it’s as accurate as possible. My Fitbit calculates calories burned per day and gives me a number to meet.

    I have a goal dress I want to fit into!! It has pandas all over it. I think I need to be about 150-155 lbs.
