  • If you had to choose one thing that makes the biggest difference for you in your weight loss success, what would it be?
    For me it used to be counting calories. I had great success with that. Now it would be to get plenty of sleep. My sleep schedule has never been that great and it effects my energy and food cravings for the whole day. I need plenty of sleep to feel motivated to live healthy!

I’ve been able to calorie count and cut out all “bad” drinks and consume o my water and black tea or coffee. With all that, if I have something to work towards that helps keep me even more motivated than just reaching a goal weight, I find it helps me. For instance, this past June we took a family trip to the Bahamas and I lost 50lbs from March to June. From June to now I’ve only managed to lost 15lbs and am struggling to figure out what’s causing the slow down.

Why do I always sabotage myself? I got on the scale this morning and have hit my 4% yay!!! Right? But then I go into work and eat two cookies. I have to figure out how to have the success and accept it and continue forward. Instead of saying yeah I’m good and then going backwards. It’s a vicious cycle.

I totally agree. With two sick babies and a sick husband last week I was on the struggle bus on the scale. Over the past two days I caught up on sleep and saw the scale move again! Thank goodness everyone is feeling better.

I accept! I played tennis that day with my friend for 2 hours, then we played basketball for 40 mins, and then I did yoga, walking, and stretching at night for a combined 85 mins. It was a very active day!

  • Have you set goals for yourself?
    I'm so happy you are here and part of the group! Some of you are beginning your weight loss journey and some are nearing the end but most of us are somewhere in the middle. Most likely you have a number in mind as your ultimate goal weight! But, no matter how close you are to that it's a great idea to create a set of goals for yourself. I would like to encourage you to share your plan to re-inspire yourself and others, or sit down and form a plan if you haven't yet. If you're at the beginning, think of just one thing you can do today to make yourself healthier as a starting point, no matter how small. That success will propel you forward. Think small goals that will lead you to your big goals! And just for fun let us know where you're from. I'm in Southern UT!

Im about midway through I suppose. I’m focusing on BMI vs the number on the scale, but obviously the number on the scale is related to BMI :joy: You know what I mean though hopefully. I’m in steaming HOT Alabama!!

Hi, I’m in DC area. Currently 60lbs down in hopes of 40 more pounds by end of the year. Kind of been in a plateau last month or so, I’m excited to get the weight dropping again! All the best everyone!
