  • NSV story.
    Saw a old friend yesterday. The last time we saw each other I was at least 25 to 30 lbs heavier. They did ask me how I’m feeling but didn’t say anything about my weight loss or anything about how I’m looking.
    While I’m glad our relationship isn’t about appearance and such. I’m still had these weird feelings like maybe others can’t really see how much I “think” I’ve improved. I hate feeling this way so I did a comparison photo from from what I looked like around the same weight I last saw them to yesterday. It made me feel better because while I know I still need to loss more weight, I can definitely see a difference. It also reminded me that I’m losing weight for myself not others. Have a good Sunday everyone!

  • Keto day 54 Part 2

    Oven roasted pork chops & broccoli with cheese sauce.

    I love this pork chop recipe! They always turn out moist and flavorful.

    Preheat the oven to 400°F
    Coat the pork chops with a little oil on each side. (I prefer avocado oil, but olive oil will work too.)
    Then season both sides with worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    Pop in the oven for 7-9 minutes per half inch thickness. No need to flip the chops during cooking.

    This is one of my favorites meals because it looks like Sunday dinner but takes about 20 minutes to pull together.

As of today, I am officially 50 pounds down from my highest weight. I started my journey in November of last year and owe a big portion of my motivation to dietbet! I am currently in 9 games and love scrolling through everyone’s posts. I still have another 100 pounds to lose before I’m at a healthy weight but this feels like such a big milestone for me. I have been far from perfect with my diet (one cheat meal has led to a week of burgers and ice cream - multiple times), but the most important thing is to refocus and keep going. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for sharing your stories and journey. Can’t wait to keep shrinking with you! xo

Congratulations on such a huge achievement and making that commitment to yourself to a more healthy lifestyle. I've made my goal for the month by 2 lbs. I've worked so hard, but I'm stressed because this weekend I will be visiting family and basically living out of a hotel and eating out, which is super challenging for me. Any suggestions? I'm not sure if the gym at our hotel will be open 😬

I think if you just keep your portions smaller for more calorically dense foods and be mindful than you should be fine.

I was just out of town for a job interview. I used the Peloton app, which is free for the first month. One day I did a 30 minute strength masked while in the hotel gym, and the next day I did a 30 minute body weight strength in my hotel room. It was a pretty good workout!

Oh I'm so close, it's going to be right down to the wire for me. I have 0.2 more to lose by tomorrow and of course, my monthly visitor decided to show up 2 days ago. So I killed it with my trainer tonight, came home and did some time on the elliptical and getting ready to go work and get more steps in working in the ER. Congrats to everyone who has made their monthly goal, and for those who didn't, keep up the good work.

  • I’m so excited that I FINALLY exercised this month instead of normally doing nothing or putting it off, then realizing the month is over. I’ve already lost 50, but I needed a push to go further. Did 5K on the treadmill 3-4xs/week, started with day 1 (1/4/21). Looking forward to tomorrow’s weigh-in!! 👏👏
