  • I'm most successful with my food intake when I have grab and go items. I try to prep and refrigerate fresh foods, but here is a good quick breakfast. It has a decent fiber count and sugar is low. It comes with crunchy granola which is included in the nutrition.

  • I've been trying to hit 4 miles everyday. I could walk forever, but it's tough when I've got my little walking buddy. She's been great keeping up, although yesterday we only managed 3 miles. Today, she chose our trail and we ended up walking from the 'burbs into Philly for a total of 6.5 miles. She didn't complain even once. I'm so proud of her 😭 it's so important to me that she learns to love exercise and makes healthy choices a habit so she doesn't end up with all these food and weight issues that I have.

I think I'm somehow managing to undo my catastrophic failure that was the first half of July.. if I really stick to the plan I should be able to meet my goal for this round. I've upped my exercise, upped my protein, upped my water. Just have to keep it all upped!

I've noticed there is a relation between the amount of water I drink and the number of steps (to the bathroom) I take. More water = more daily steps.

you can make it. plateaus and failures are there for learning and fastening your motivation.
And: Matthew, at least it's clear to us why a higher water intake is good for weight loss :joy:

  • I'm participating in the Virtual STP (Seattle To Portland). This is the first time it has ever been Virtual, but previously it is a ~200 mile bike ride between Seattle, WA & Portland, OR over 1 or 2 days.

    This year they are doing it virtually and giving people 20 days to accumulated the 200 miles. Over the last 3 days I have 108 miles. Over half way completed.

I'm dragging myself, kicking and screaming, back on the wagon. Fourth of July totally screwed me up, then my birthday, then OH it's the weekend! Slunk onto the scale this morning at +7 pounds and 10 pounds from my goal for this round. I'm really hoping that at least a few of those pounds are from water because otherwise.. ugh. Absolutely no room for error left this round. Why am I like this? 😭

I’m so happy for these diet bets through cause I would have given up instead of getting back on the wagon. I have never made progress like this! This is all a part of life and I’m happy to have better balance and control. I don’t regret the past few weeks which I know is peersonal growth for me

Done the same thing several times this year (ugh) and a bunch of the weight does come off fast. Totally agree with other posters that a couple good days should drop 6+ pounds. You got this!
