  • The 3rd challenge is the Nutrition Challenge

    It starts on Monday!

    Here is the challenge if you choose to accept:

    *Eat 5 servings a day from the fruit/vegetable group 5 days this week.

    It can be all vegetables or any combo of both. What is a serving? For the purpose of our game we will use the American Heart Association definition: Vegetables: 1 cup of raw leafy vegetables (about the size of a small fist), 1/2 cup of other vegetables or 1/2 cup of vegetable juice. Fruits: 1 medium fruit (the size of a baseball); 1/2 cup chopped, cooked or canned fruit; or 1/2 cup juice.

    One suggestion, but not part of the challenge: Please post at least one picture of a healthy meal you eat this week. It provides great ideas for everyone in our game! And remember to make healthy food choices in other food groups but we are not measuring those for this challenge.

    I will ask at the end of the week starting on Friday if you completed the challenge. You will need to click on comment below that post and report in there. You will have until 12:00 PM (noon) Pacific Time on Saturday to report in. I will then put all the players who completed this weeks challenge into our drawing for a $30 Amazon gift card!

    I'm cutting out the keto sweets and treats and focusing on carnivore and intermittent fasting. Let's see what things look like a week from now!

  • Ok, so not carnivore, but still keto!

    I cleaned out the fridge and made a great stir-fry for supper!

    Leftover pork chops and steak, peppers onions, veggies and bagged shredded cabbage. Some coconut aminos and 5 spice, and voila!

  • It's time for the 2nd Challenge: The Fitness Challenge

    If you choose to accept it will begin on Monday January 6th-

    The challenge: Exercise 5 days this week with a minimum of 30 minutes a day. You can do anything you want, walking, jogging, swimming, biking, sports, or anything else as long as you're moving........Your choice. You can break it up into segments if you need to.

    **At the end of the week I will ask you to comment under a post I have pinned at the top of the game page, if you completed the challenge. You will have until 12PM (noon) Pacific Time on Saturday January 11th to report in. The drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card will be shortly after that.

I really like it! It simplifies things for me.
I will admit, I do have the occasional pickle or olive, but that's about it.
Its definitely a mind set just like anything else. If you spend your day dwelling on what you *can't* have, it will be very hard. But if you tell yourself you *get* to eat bacon and steak to satiety, ot becomes much easier!

  • Welcome everyone, Happy New Year's Eve, I'm so happy you're here! My name is Jenn, I'll be your host! Kandice is my sister and co-host.

    I like to do weekly challenges as part of our game, it helps to keep the game more interactive and motivating.(Optional of course)

    The first challenge is: The Water Challenge!

    Here is the requirement if you want to participate:
    Drink at least 64 oz. of water a day, from Tuesday- Friday!

    I will ask at the end of this week starting on Friday if you completed the challenge. You will need to report in on that post if you did complete the challenge to be entered into our first drawing. You will have until 12PM (noon) Pacific Time on Saturday to report in. I will then put all the players who completed this weeks challenge into our drawing for a $10 Amazon gift card! Each week the bonus prize amount will increase.

    And one suggestion, but not part of the challenge: Please introduce yourself and share your goals! I think it helps the group get to know each other and creates a way for each player to establish some accountability. Accountability with weight loss is essential! Let us know where you are on your weight loss/fitness journey, and what your short/long term goals are! Just for fun let us know where you are from. I live in Southern UT.
