Ok guys I need some advice. The one thing I struggle with the most in this journey is working out. I always find excuses not to do it. Here is my typical day.
Wake up 5am - get ready for work
Work by 7am
Depending on the day I get home around 5 or 6:30.
Dinner hopefully by 6:30 at the latest
Bed 9-10 ( need my 8 hours)

On the days I get home earlier I have the energy to do some sort of workout. However, the majority of my days are getting home later. But let’s face it even when I get home earlier I am dead tired.

I want to get myself in the habit of waking early and getting it done but I can’t seem to make it happen.

What do you guys do to motivate yourself when you are tired? Did any of you change your habits and figure out how to train yourself to get up early and get it done?

Start small, I recently decided I will run every day, even if it's just a mile. Yesterday, my first job starts at 6 am until 5 pm, 2nd job from 5:15 pm - 7:45 pm so I MADE myself, which took a lot of overriding of excuses, run a mile at 8:15 pm. I was glad I did it, that's the great thing about workouts, you NEVER regret doing it. Tonight I only work til 5 pm, so I get to do a longer run. Start small, it's less intimidating, which means you are more likely to do it.

I met Andi C (above) at OrangeTheory! Get up, do it, and keep at it. You'll meet people in the trenches with you.

Ask yourself "what is my body tomorrow or in eight weeks going to thank me for doing today?"

Hello lovely people. Am so passed myself with all the over-eating. Really hoping this will keep me accountable & kick the year off with some really healthy habits. Am based in the UK, have committed to DRY January (so no alcohol) & RED January which is a fundraiser meaning you commit to doing some form of exercise every day. These are my aims. It would be great if some of you wanted to share your plans/resolutions/commitments. Good luck everyone 😉

Hello, and good luck to you! I’ve learned that I am either 100% on the wagon with eating healthy and exercising, or I’m 100% off and spend my time being inactive and mindlessly eating. My goal is to hopefully find a happy medium between the two instead of yoyo-ing the same gain and loss over and over.

Sandi R.

Yes! I'm doing no alcohol in January too! So I can get on track with dieting and working out.

just fyi, only a select few are actually partnered with Dietbet as hosts and get money from the bets, usually really famous ones that help promote DietBet from their own platforms. The majority of hosts simply get their bet fee waived

Cari C.

We won 50% of our $30 buy-in - I think that’s fantastic.

Made it by just a hair! Also, I am supremely grateful that this bet ended before Thanksgiving and not after. 😂

Right! If the bet ended the weekend after, a lot of us would probably be doomed

The $30 we all paid to play the game is “the pot.” DietBet keeps 25% and all winners of the game split what’s left of the money. From what I understood, that money can be applied towards your bet to start a new game or cashed out.

2 thumbs up!!

Congrats to those hitting their goals and those still working on theirs! I see posts about celebrating winning by eating junk food. As much as I want to, using food as a reward when uncontrolled food is the reason I joined this bet in the first place makes me feel guilty lol. A small indulgence would be a well-earned treat, but does anyone else have junk food guilt?

I’m just taking it one day at a time, one meal at a time. I have so much junk food guilt when I make bad choices, but I try to give myself a small treat/break every now as it’s ok to not be perfect. I weighed in today and am waiting for verification. I still have another 36 lbs to lose to achieve my TOTAL goal, so the end of this round is not an excuse to go on a food-bender. There is a little more than a month left of 2019 - I’m going out swinging!!! :muscle:

I wont be eating junk. Im treating myself my nails done. X
