  • The scale is making me cranky.

    No NSVs either, unless you count intense arm pain from using loppers to chop-up fallen branches all week? Proof of exercise?

    I also have been feeling sick on-and-off this week (feverish, exhausted, sore throat).

    I thought some hormonal water weight would drop this week, but it didn't.

    I really thought I could catch up this round, but not an ounce has come off; despite good diet and decent exercise. Plus all this extra oxygen, less stress, and more time to focus on my health while visiting the great PNW.

    Less than 2 weeks before I'm back home in SoCal and back to 'business as usual' with my crazy parents and sister.

    I'll keep trying to make the best of it here, but I really wish I could say I was feeling healthier in some way after the last 3 weeks.

    One good thing: Been getting lots of mommy/son time.

  • I’ve been thinking a lot about how I've become laser focused on my next goal and I forgetting how far I have come. Yeah I gained a pound or two last night it happens (frequently), I’m used to it, but it is still a bummer especially when ONEderland is so close. But looking back at where I started, I have lost around 40 lbs! That’s pretty awesome! You know what else? At my heaviest, I had to buy bigger pants because I could not button my old ones, and now those same pants fit so loose, I can fit a baby (with a huge cloth diaper) in the gap. Day to day I win some and I lose some, but the progress is so clear in the big picture.

Hit the snooze from 5a-5:40a, and my eyes are still blurry after coffee and reading Dietbet posts. But going to drag myself outside to fill the yardwaste bin! Truck comes as early as 7a, so gotta haul-booty.

This was my brilliant plan to force myself to wake up earlier.

First of all - selfie is not "unflattering" - you have the smile of a champion! Second - there have been many mornings when my intention to get up and walk early has been masked by my finger's ease of hitting either the "snooze" button or the "off" button on my alarm!

Just finished a one month DietBet and should be a winner! 💪🙌

Now to keep up these habits for sustainable changes.

I’m traveling next week and am a little worried about how that will go but know that making plans, having food, and being mentally prepared will go a LONG way!
