I won my kickstarter on the second day of weigh-in! I am beyond psyched.

I haven't won in this transformer since Round 1. And I lost two other shorter-term bets since January. It feels *so* good to get a win! 😃

Today's my sister's birthday and I am making her a mega chocolate cake. I don't even care that I can't eat any! :)🎂

Interesting. Thanks for sharing! I had assumed that the winnings would be lower in a mega than in a regular transformer since people are having to bet so much, but this looks similar in terms of percent winnings to the two regular ones I'm currently in.

Costco has these Saint Louis Ribs next to their rotisserie chickens. I eat them just as they come hot"n'ready to eat. Depending on the size'I can usually cut them up to get 2-3 days of meals out of them. (Technically it meats my low carb diet requirements though but it is so good it feels like cheating)

I’m going to lose this one:((. Will dry-fast till the very last second but to shed 1.5kg in 19hrs - is it even possible?.... This is my third game this year and I feel stuck. Hungry all the time. Don’t know why I’m writing this, just want to complain to someone I guess. I wish I had a magic pill...

Thank you Roxy:)) I’m just having my last hot hot bath before weigh-in but it looks like I’ve just made it, very close to my target, maybe 1lb difference. I’ve found that for over eaters like me the best way is fasting - that way there’s no temptations, whereas low calories (1200 for my target loss) is super hard and makes me ravenous and ready to give up. So next game I’ll me doing alternate day fasting (one day just water and next day normal food but a bit more calories than my daily allowance). I’m a massage therapist so physical work every day, plus training, so I think that’s why I’m always hungry :)))

They responded and I can resubmit.. Only, this morning I was .9 below goal weight and I doubt I will meet that this afternoon. :( I always weigh the lowest 1st thing in morning. Pray for miraculous weight loss! HA!

I've been dreading writing this post but I need the accountability. The last few weeks I've had a lot going on (three kids in three different sports, one with an injury, trying to get drive time in for my oldest to get his driver's license as he'll be 16 in a few days, and a bad break-up). I'd been doing great on this weightloss journey since the beginning of January but lately I've been pretty lousy with it. Somehow I've managed to not gain any weight and I've even lost another pound or two but I know that the way I've been acting isn't sustainable and it's just a matter of time before the numbers start going the other way. I've chosen to be kind and understanding with myself during all this which is probably the only reason why I haven't completely fallen off the wagon. Either way, it's time to put on my big girl pants and get back to kicking butt! You'll be seeing a lot more of me from here on out cause I'm back in this! Keep crushing those goals everyone!

  • Recently, I’ve been revisiting my graduate research from somebody posting a question about incretins.

    It was not my research but going back and reading about nutrition, phytochemicals and obesity I’ve been inspired to have at least one side or dish a dark leafy, cruciferous green a day.

    Sooooo, today I made kale salad.
    Diced super fine, messaged with olive oil, and tossed with apple, celery root, fresh lemon and pepitas. It tasted like dirt.

    So I added maple syrup and blue cheese. Better but it still tasted like dirt.

    I will not give up, these vegetables are bound to be delicious so how and they are a powerhouse of nutrients. Tomorrow I will sauté lacinato kale with garlic, ginger and ponzu.

    Stay tuned.

I was so shocked learning about the benefits of Kale. I throw it in my smoothie and lasagna. The smoothie was fantastic (bananas, frozen berry mix, flaxseed, frozen fruit mix- pineapple, mango, peaches, and more strawberries). The lasagna...never doing that again lol.

  • I decided after 4 weeks of doing 3 days of fasting/OMAD each week that it doesn't help me lose weight or feel any better. I have been plateaued most of this month. So, I'm switching from fasting to more healthy fruit/veggie/protein smoothies and see how that goes.

    I did drop 1# since yesterday with a few days of smoothie action and a nap (turns out I was sick yesterday and that's why I was feeling so sluggish in the morning).

    But I don't know if I will make weight for my kickstarter that weighs out tommorow/Thursday. Still not giving up!

Some things work for some people but not for others. You just have to do exactly what you are doing - try some different things until you hit on what works for you. Good luck!
