Has anyone else managed to gain weight? ☹ I made the goal of another challenge and the 6% for this one but weight is going in the wrong direction. Self-sabatoge is a struggle

I absolutely did at the beginning of this round and I freaked out! Scared me back into being better about my eating which is absolutely a huge struggle for me.

I think that's whybthe transformers are actually better (for me at least) than the single month DietBet- it helps me see my trends better and definitely helps me create better habits because they have to be sustained for a much longer period of time.

Great job moving onto the next round!!!!!!!

I've been weight lifting so I gain some, I just have to work with my trainer and let them know when I need to weigh in and she tells me how to make it happen.

June was a complete bust for me! Not only did I not hit my goal (for the first time all challenge), but I gained weight! 😭. Only 0.4, which I guess is better than it could have been.

But holy cow did I fall off the wagon. Fell off, got trampled, and then decided to take a nap!

What do you do for motivation when all your motivation is gone?

I’m still in it for round 6! And I only have less than 3lbs to lose!!

When I need extra motivation (which I need often) I go on Instagram and look up weight loss before & after photos and it reeeeeeally keeps me motivated.

I also sign up for things to help keep me accountable like a 5k race or something.

I also post the goal weight number I need/want to make (plus my desired measurements because that's REALLY what's important to me, not so much the weight on the scale) EVERYWHERE to remind myself of what I'm aiming for.

I also try to give myself some grace when I'm struggling harder than other days, and remember I'm human, and that this path isn't always straightforward, and it's more about the progress and the journey (life style changes) than anything else.

When I get discouraged I get a body scan so I can see the improvement my body is making even if the number on the scale isn't improving. My goal is based off body fat percentage not the scale, except when it comes to this game.

  • I had to weigh in yesterday for my maintainer game. Is was able to use that weigh in for my transformer games. I came in 1.2 pounds under my goal weight. Stepped on the scale again this morning to see the same weight 2 days in a row. CHA-CHING!!!!

  • Gosh - it’s been a long journey and I’m so thankful to DietBet because it’s given me an extra push and kick in the pants when I needed it most lol! I’ve done a few games but this one has been so helpful! This transformation picture isn’t from just this game but it’s been the start to present status of my entire journey since 2020! Just about 40 lbs down!

I've got 100% of my round 3 goal right now which feels pretty cool. Doing an Easter virtual 5k this morning, I've only just starting running and can't run anywhere near 5k. But I usually hike 4 miles on Saturday so this will be a fun way to see where my endurance is. I can always walk. But I'm excited!

Won round one passed my goal by .2 jumped on the scale this morning and it says I gained 4 pounds since Monday maybe it’s time for a new scale or maybe it’s just water weight i know I didn’t pig out

It likely has do to with your cycle, I definitely wouldn't let it hurt your motivation. Keep making healthy choices and weigh in again next week. While this game is purely what the scale says, ultimately its all about becoming more healthy and making better choices.

No worries. Don't panic happens to me all the time. I typically gain 3# over the course of the day; i.e., from wake up to bedtime, even if I fast.
