    Today I wanted to talk about healthy alternatives. We are human, we crave foods! Its normal! And it’s OKAY to satisfy that craving. It is important for us to satisfy that craving in some way, otherwise it can lead to the restricting feeling that ends up in a full blown binge or massive overeating.

    One of the KEY things I did on my journey of losing -147 lbs was HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES! Finding healthier options of the things I was craving. Now that won’t ALWAYS satisfy that craving so if I was REALLY craving that mcdonalds cheeseburger for a week or so and an alternative wasn’t cutting it, I would get 1 in moderation and move on! However, making a juicy cheeseburger at home with all the toppings can be just as good and make you feel a sense of accomplishment, and probably won’t leave you with a massive stomach ache haha

    My 2 ingredient pizzaand COPYCAT KFC BOWL are examples
    I used to get a KFC famous bowl everyday in high school (I know…..I didn’t get over 300 lbs eating fruit 😑🙈) ANYWAY. Now I make them at home with healthier mashed potatoes, air fried chicken, lower fat cheese, gravy and corn! ITS LEGIT BETTER THEN THE ONE FROM KFC!!

    Small changes like this can make a huge difference so you aren’t feeling deprived of the things you love! I want you to comment down below a healthier alternative to one of your favorite foods that you’re willing to try this week (add into your meal plan for week 3)

I'm sticking to the healthy foods and portions that were outlined to me by my dietician. I don't feel my clothes fitting any lighter but hoping to see a change this week. I'm not feeling discouraged just more motivated now to try even harder. I journal all my food I eat but thinking it could be my thyroid but still waiting for my doctor to answer me back if she can prescribe me medication after I got blood work and my dietician worried about my TSH levels.

I’m frustrated because I really worked the program(7 blue dots), exercise daily... but lost Nothing! I lost 4.2 lbs total in the previous 2 weeks & thought that was good but now I’m worried I won’t lose 1.8 to goal.
I’ll try to eat clean next week (no Smart Sweets or Halo Top snacks)

    EXERCISE. Do you love it or hate it? For so long it felt like a chore for me (and lets be real, some days it still does) But finding something that I actually enjoyed was so important. If you are absolutely miserable with whatever exercise you’re doing, try switching it up! Try something new. Step out of your comfort zone.

    I absolutely DESPISE cardio. So I decided when I wanted to lose the weight this time, to try more lifting. So I did. And I fell in love. Its less boring to me, it makes me feel like a badass, it makes me feel strong and powerful. Now for some people, cardio makes them feel that way! Zumba, yoga, lifting, crossfit, walking, biking, swimming, etc etc etc. Find what works for you and find something you don’t hate.

    My challenge for you this week is to try something new when it comes to movement. Now, I know there are not AS many options right now because of Covid. Here are some at home options to try:

    -The Fitness Marshall on youtube
    -Leslie Sansone on youtube
    -Alive by Whitney app (monthly subscription but I highly recommend)
    -MadFit on YouTube
    -Go for a walk
    -Go for a bike ride

    If your gyms are open:

    -Try lifting (I recommend Alive by Whitney app) Or search instagram (whitney Simmons, hanna oberg, des_b, ashlensandefur, randikennedy), YouTube and Pinterest for workouts if you don’t know where to start.

    -Try a new class you have never done before

    -Try a new cardio machine you haven’t done

    Lets see those workout selfies/workout trackers/any sort of proof to keep you accountable today! I WANT TO SEE LOTS OF COMMENTS! YOU GOT THIS

Lookup Felicia’s chicken stroganoff recipe. I follow that recipe for the most part, but I do not add the cottage cheese. I do add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce (low sodium) right before I plate, a little beef broth, and top with sesame seeds. The things I add should not add any more points if you follow WW.

We have also tossed in zucchini, made with shrimp/steak. So so good!

    OK first holy freakin COW!!! I am blown away with all the activity on our dashbaord! SO MANY MEAL IDEAS!!!!!! Im trying my best to comment on all posts but its a little overwhelming so I’m going to 100% answer all posts with questions and do my best to comment on the food/workout posts! Bear with me!!!

    I just have to say again how freaking proud I am of ALL OF YOU for even joining! Its definitely a commitment! I want to start off by talking about our goals for this dietbet and also a giveaway! (I am not stingy with the amount of giveaways I do in here just so you know!😂)

    Yes, this game is about losing that 4%. BUT we need to make it a point to focus on NON SCALE things as well. The number is NOT everything. So I want you to tell me:

    1.) You’re WHY. Why do you want to lose weight/be a healthier version of you? What is driving you?

    2.) What is your main NON SCALE goal that you would like to accomplish (clothes fitting better, developing a new healthy habit, fitting into a goal pair of pants, a specific health goal like better bloodwork numbers, etc)

    3.) Optional: You can post your scale goal if you feel comfortable!

I put on 20 pounds as I had to go on prednisone last fall. I have never ( even at full term pregnancy) weighed this much. My clothes are tight. I want to be able to play with my grandsons who are 3, 1 and 4 months. I need to get healthier so I can see them grow up.
