I’ve stalled with my weight loss, probably because of all the extra bites I’ve had recently. I’ve been getting ready for my twin boys’ grad party which is today. I’ve had to make 200 cake pops yesterday and that took the entire day. Now I plan to keep my water bottle filled and pray people show up so we aren’t left with all this food! I’m an introvert so this party has been stressing me out for months so I’ll be glad to get through it and then not fall apart watching my babies graduate next week!

Trying to get my mindset right. I am stuck on a plateau, looking at losing this diet bet. BUT I got thinking tonight, I can either get mad and eat my feelings which WILL get me further from my goal, OR I can keep doing water first veggies most knowing that staying the same in this moment is a lot better than going backwards. I’m wishing you all weight loss weekends! And magnificent mindsets!!

  • Happy Hump Day! Remember that your palate is fully capable of changing according to the foods you choose to eat. Your cravings will noticeably subside, and foods you used to enjoy will soon lose their luster. Nothing is better than how the right foods make you feel - that feeling lasts and tells your brain to crave those foods instead. Veggies are by far the most satisfying thing for me to eat! I literally feel more alive during and long after!

    What are your favorite veggies?? And what do you not crave anymore??🚫

Sautéed peppers and onions. I don’t crave Doritos as much as I used to. Omg And cherry tomatoes too. I used to not like cherry tomatoes at all and then I started dipping them in hummus Just to eat them and now I eat them plain like they’re going out of style. My husband started planting the cherry tomato plant because I was buying cherry tomatoes at the store every other day.

Baby boy is sick with croup so I’m stress eating and not sleeping but still getting in my water and veggies first for all my meals! Weight hasn’t gone up since last week Thursday…slow journey down! I can do this. I WILL do this. Got in my workout (thanks, Amoila!!) and am ready to stick to my nutrition 2 bunnies :)

Here is just a little something to get you over the week and to start you off right. In my book "You Can Drop It!" I talk about setting up your Environment for success. The goal is to get your space set up so it's extremely inconvenient to gain weight, and extremely convenient to lose weight. For example, ask your spouse or housemates to keep their junk foods and tempting snacks in an opaque container on a very high shelf, and cut up some fresh fruits and veggies so they are the first thing you see in the refrigerator. Use the rest of the week and weekend to set yourself up for success, go and buy what you need- Veggies, lean proteins, waters, etc and comment in this post and let me know what you did and how you did it. I bought lean meats and fish from Costco and put all the treats on a shelf I can’t reach but hubby can!

I'm keeping my water bottle by my side at all times! I've moved my husband's and son's junk food to the back of the cabinet and fridge, as well as off the kitchen table and counters, too.
