The cold weather is really messing with my motivation to do any workouts. It's been a couple of days since I've felt foot pain, so I'm going to try a small run on the weekend. Baby steps so I don't reinjure myself. I guess I'm glad that diet is 80%. Let's all do our best! Remember it's 6 months for a reason. It's not easy and everyone has a different pace. Figure out yours and push yourself but not too hard!

Even if you feel good when you start, don't push yourself too hard. Glad your recovery is progressing!


There is a doctor on staff at the Cleveland Clinic (Mark Hyman) who has written several books on sugar addiction and weightloss. I've heard him speak a couple of times and he said "you can't exercise your way out of a bad diet". So true! As long as you keep on top of your food plan, I think you'll be good. I wish you the best as you recover from your injury.

Grrr! I was so close to my goal on Tuesday morning and now I'm up 3 pounds. How does that happen overnight? I'm watching my points, observing my IF, and exercising. So frustrating! I thought for sure I would reach my goal by Feb 1-2 and now it seems so far away. :( Sorry, just needed to vent to people who understand the challenges we face when trying to lose weight. Have a great day!

Same! I’m working to drink more water and cut back on salt more. Hoping it helps!


For me if I go back and look at my macronutrients I’ll find I had too much sodium.

anyone doing dry January? I am two weeks in, and feeling great. I almost gave in Saturday but didn't and I'm still in the running for 31 days. I read that having wine after work, or at the end of the day or Fridays nights it's a formed habit, and to break the habits, you should start new ones, so that's what I've been doing.

If you are doing dry January, how are you curving your cravings?

Wow! Thank you everyone, I love all your comments and what you are doing to kick the habit. I'm with you Nicole H., I am so happy I had no withdrawals. I don't know if I mentioned it, but while doing this, an article came up on my feed and it talked about what you said to meditate to help get over the cravings, I don't meditate per say but I do pay attention as to why am I craving and stay with the thought, there is usually not a good reason. I also read and have not tried journaling. This was Dr. Gupta. He says he wrote down everything he ate for two weeks, and the next day he would write down how he felt, he said reading how he felt after he ate whatever made him feel not so good and also what made him feel great, he had a list of food to give his body to feel better.

I like watching the show because there’s always hope in it. Hope that this patient will really do it, make all their dreams come true. It’s more about success of the human spirit for me

I always liked chris Powells transformation and the biggest loser until it got unhealthy. I like that my 600 pound life shows you how you have to control your thoughts before the surgery or it won't work, as well as the ups and downs of the journey
