I know it's small, but since I started the challenge on Monday, I have gotten up 15 minutes earlier every day to ride my stationary bike. Feeling inspired and proud of myself.

I’ve done several of these. Actually swore by diet bet several years ago as a motivation. Since then - I have lost games some. Here’s what I know - bites count. And they count hard. But what I’ve learned the past 10 years - stress & age count too! 52 - my kids are older and when my son went navy in 2020 - so proud. Then covid made it sooo scary!!!! I have exercised every day for over 11 years. (Minimum is a 20 min walk). I journal it every day. And still every bite counts bc here I am having found some weight. Even with allll the exercise and marathons and half marathons (intervals - I don’t run run) But man- stress kills it too. Age has to be playing a part. All I know is - 52 years old - exercise daily - and making those scales drop numbers has never been harder. And I vow to figure it out. Even with the stress of a child’s deployment. The stress of my health not being what I expected. I plan to test - self care. So if you struggle - I feel you. I am you. But I firmly believe - it’s going to come down to - every bite matters. No matter how much I hate that. And I firmly believe - there is a solution to when things change & what worked before doesn’t anymore. Good luck to
All of us figuring it out!

Protein from BodyHealth has been a game changer for me. I started to think differently after reading their brochure on Fat Loss and Lean Bulking https://bodyhealth.com/pages/lean-bulk-guide-direct-download

Good morning everyone! So I kinda messed myself up yesterday…. I did have another Lindt truffle along with my quest pb cups and I didn’t do my 2 exercises to burn off the bit of extra carbs…. So I do have a bit of water weight gain this morning…. Sitting at 387 which isn’t too bad (.8 up) but still stinks because I know better…. So back to the grind today!

Keep at it Bethany

@Dawn M - when I weigh in weekly I tend to slip up - I have found I get more and more lax the less at the front of my brain the goal is…. I do use my fitness pal. I am prioritizing getting more sleep because I hadn’t been doing well on that since October of last year…. My goal for that is bare minimum 6-8 hours - if I can manage 8-12 even better because that’s when the body does most of its healing. I need to make sure I’m doing the bit of movement I can daily and not be lax about it…. I drink water around the clock and average 3-8 bottles a day with either 1 - 24oz Americano with cream added or 1 either Bang or Reign energy drink (never both on the same day)…. I’ve been focusing on keeping busy and my hunger isn’t much so I’ve been eating 1-2 times a day and if I eat twice it’s usually a snack sized meal…. All meals are protein focused with healthy fats and if I have a taste for it veggies or salad on the side…. Even if I don’t have the energy to cook and I opt for food out I’ll do something like a Big Mac salad instead of just whatever meal…. I really do need to get more consistent about my daily movements though even though it’s not much I know it does add up with time…

  • Folks. I did a transformer from Jan through June 30 this year. I was a very big guy and still am but it pushed me in the right direction to live longer for my Son. I just wanted to say stay focused and we got this as a team. Thank you DietBet, thank you Team, Thank you Son. Thank you God. Changes may help show the growth and inspire. In dec was 325 - now 276.

  • This spreadsheet makes it appear like I have my $@%# together. I don't. I have failed my last 5 dietbets. I'm hoping the longer bet will help.

This is hard, use this community and any other support you have:-) Good luck everyone!

Hey brother. Wanted to say that I see no failure. I see you in Onederland. I hope your health has been better since you started doing DietBets. Give yourself grace man. Where did you come from w weight and health and have you seen an improvement. I know im at a spot where weight loss is challenging and I may not get close to winning but I like the accountability. Hang in there man

Celia-DE

The first time I joined I did the same thing and it kept me on track. Your post just push me to do it again. And like you said I have failed plenty of dietbet but I’m hoping this is it
